It had all the ingredients for a perfect read:

A gruesome locked room murder. A family full of secrets. A safe with uncut diamonds. An oh so clever ending!

I always try & out wit Poirot, I never manage it yet! But he makes is all sound so obvious when it's the big reveal.

It lost one ⭐ because I found it a tad difficult to keep up with all the characters.

A delightful read brimming with quirky characters, Christmas spirit & food!

I enjoyed the first two stories, the 3rd annoyed me I don't think Poirot would act like that & the rest I were good but nothing special....

⭐ It was well written story, with an. interesting premise.⠀
⭐ I was pleasantly surprised by the twist at the end.⠀
⭐ The characters were all well built ​dysfunctional, untrustworthy & entirely suspicious.⠀
☆ But it didn't grab me like I'd expected & it certainly lacked pace.⠀
☆ It was missing Paris vibes aside from a couple of delicious food references & a few mentions of getting the Metro it could have been set anywhere.
