Reading this book series was absolutely phenomenal. The ending was PERFECT. Truly a series that is more than the sum of its parts.
This is something I ha dto read for campus. While this book may not be something that I would prefer, I think it does an excellent job of introducing younger audiences to an atrociously harsh period of South African history. It conveys to young readers the racially motivated crimes associated with the time period but not in such a way that they would be explicit.
