It's very cute and fluffy.
Basically school romance, but a bit less drama, faster pace, and they're adults.

Didn't expect an nsfw chapter, but the mangaka still managed to make it cute. It's still hot, but more on the cute side.

There's a bit of drama here and there, but mostly minor things that get resolved very quickly. As someone, who's not a fan of drama, I appreciate that.
Especially love how there's no homophobia and everyone is supportive and ships them.

Quite a fast relationship development in this volume; excited to see how volume 2 will be filled.

Just a slice-of-life of a mealworm beetle and his friends he makes along his exciting life. Very adventurous, was fun to read, and that's pretty much everything. Positive story, friendship-focused and puts a smile on your face.
The book may be mainly written for kids, but the writing style isn't typically children's book – entertaining and a good read for an adult as well. The illustrations are also a very lovely addition; the artstyle fitting perfectly with the characters.
I'll probably read some more books by the author, should I ever come across them. Recommended to all age groups.

PS: I might not close drawers and shelves completely any time soon.

If you came here for reading a comic about Captain Underpants, then you won't entirely get what you wanted. It mostly is a children's novel (you know, text with a picture on each page), but it does have a comic in between. George and Harold are the two main characters, living an average american comedy life, with an addition of writing and illustrating the adventures of Captain Underpants.
So, if you only came for Captain Underpants, you might get a little disappointed, but if you're fine with other storylines, I'd give it a shot.

I only recently found out that the DreamWorks movie is based on a comic/novel, and that the characters both have ADHD, written by an author with ADHD, which fits perfectly for the Disability Reading Challenge I'm currently doing. (Happy Disability Pride Month, by the way!)

So. I'm not much a fan of typical american humour, especially that type that really likes to go in deeps about the joke, almost trying to force you to laugh. Not my thing and I usually avoid movies/shows/etc with that comedy type. But it wasn't too bad here. Although I was annoyed by some bits, I did enjoy the puns and references – e.g. one monster was named "the inedible Hulk".
Also, the idea of having a superhero with "underwear" powers, is pretty neat. I could picture it in Pixar's The Incredibles or even in the DC universe, especially Legends of Tomorrow.

YOOO. WHAT. This was way more emotional than I thought it would ever get. Sure, hospital stories are never not emotional, but I didn't think it would get THAT deep. I cried. It was very good, though. Hurtful and heartbreaking, but a nice ending and totally worth the read.

And I love the supernatural elements.

The art is absolutely GORGEOUS. The owl and night theme, damn. I'm in love. So many panels are wallpaper-worthy. I need them in full HD, PLEASE.

Why are all the reviews (mainly on goodreads) asking for kisses? This is a slow-paced and beautiful story. Not every love story needs to begin with sex, and some start with being friends.
Is everyone here just reading for the smut parts? There are plenty of those stories already; be happy that this actually has a story, and is wholesome, and healthy.

I loved it so much, it's so sweet (pun intended)!!
The way they both support each other with their job is really amazing. Especially the line at the end, "because we're our biggest fans". Damn! Melted my heart.
I love how close they got in this volume. A few months have passed, but I really do love the slow-pace. Hope volume 3 comes out soon, I'm craving more of them!

Wouldn't mind if this stretches out to 10+ volumes and nothing sexual happens until the last volume. Just reading about their daily lives and seeing their smiles, as they help each other grow, already gives me plenty of butterflies.

As the previous volume, it again was very rushed. Understandable if you can only do 2 volumes, but I hope the author gets to flesh out this story someday, as there's a lot of to unpack. Would be a waste, if not.

I was mostly rooting for the antagonist, so it was sad that they didn't succeed. The whole climax was pretty funny though, because of how lighthearted, with only a few action scenes, it was kept. Lol.

Also, it's finally Yuri at the end, but only through a confession. So, yea, more friendship-Yuri than true GL.

It's tagged as Yuri, but it's not the main topic and rather on a friendship level.

Overall really good, the artstyle is cute, but i feel like it's too rushed. The world-building is nice and there's so many plots you could flesh out to make it a whole series. Welp.

It ended on a cliffhanger, so I'll be reading volume 2 right away.

The artstyle is cute, but the paneling is a bit confusing. One page sometimes has 3 different times of the day; at one panel they're meeting up and in the next one they're parting ways already. Random time-jumps without any notice. Cuts that aren't for aesthetic purposes, but simply random and confusing. Would work for a thriller, but not a middle grade slice of life...
Also, it's a bit difficult to distinguish the characters sometimes, as everyone looks so alike.

The premise is quite nice though; you don't have just one trans character, but two, and of the opposite gender. Shuichi, a boy, who wants to be a girl; and Yoshino, a girl, who wants to be a boy.

It starts off a bit awkward, though. Yoshino has it going pretty well and knows what she wants, but Shuichi is of rather shy nature and gets pushed around a lot. The strangest part is that his friends are pretty much forcing him to wear girls' clothes, just because he looks at dresses a bit too long sometimes and the others think he would look cute. I'm sure they mean well (at least I hope so), but who does that? Is it a thing in Japan? Maybe I'm just hit with weird cultural differences, which make me a little uncomfortable, but... uh...
Whether it's a cultural thing or not, just please stop forcing people to wear clothes, when they clearly don't want to – no matter the gender of the person and the gender attached to the clothes. Just... don't.

Volume 1 is rather superficial and just about the clothes. E.g. Yoshino wearing a guy's school uniform, and Shuichi wanting to wear dresses.
I hope it goes deeper than that, because transgender isn't just about clothes, and I really don't want this manga to be one of those false stereotypes stories.

Generally speaking, though, can we finally stop attaching genders to things? Especially clothes. Dresses shouldn't make someone feminine/female, and trousers shouldn't be masculine/male. Please. I'm so sick of this. Just let everyone wear what they want.

Also, every guy who makes fun of periods, deserves to suffer. Get that period-pain-simulator and wear it 24/7 for a whole week, and suffer. Seriously.

Just like the previous book, it takes a while to get going, but definitely gets up the pace faster here. It was much more exciting and much more happening, but, again, the author drowns in long descriptions about things that aren't that important. While it is nice to read in itself and the writing style is almost poetic, it simply isn't what the story needs. Or deserves. So many questions were left unanswered. The actual bulk is under 30 pages.

The main characters found each other, but what about the world? What about the villains and their plans?
Just like in the previous book, it feels like the world is just there. Nothing important. Things are happening but the author is mostly writing about the main characters. The world-building feels very unfinished, which is a waste.

It doesn't feel like an ending. Maybe it's not the last book in the series? Maybe the author plans more? Or maybe that's his style. Leave things unanswered.

The book wasn't bad and I did like it more than the first, but it simply left me quite... empty? Unsatisfied?
