Curse of the YA fantasy. Good plot, characters, elemental magic realm. Loved everything about it BUT the steam was oh so missing from the romance. You're telling me we're going to get detailed war descriptions, consequences, and deaths, only to get a SFW fade to black romance? Rude.
3.5 stars. are we going to get some demon fucking???? count me in.
3.5/5. FINALLY SOME ACTION. Also, tenderness. Swoon.
3.5 stars. Loving the tension. Demons are sexy who knew?
SO GOOD. Really enjoyed this one. Trans main character, great enemies to lovers, some awesome diversity representation. All surrounded by academia. Courtney Milan is SO GREAT!
3.5 stars!
UM that steamy scene is BURNED into my brain. I took notes! Becca KNOWS what she wants from her partner.
Jokes aside, this was a fun read. F/F new adult college romance between two women playing as teammates on the college lacrosse team. Lots of pining for one another, some good character development and working through past shitty relationships. It had me swooning. There's something amazing that happens in a wlw romance. Nuances, little things, heated shit.
Enjoyed it!

Spoiler
Minus the ending where Becca had Hope (who is dyslexic and has talked through the insecurities and struggles she has with reading) read this novel grovel letter in front of the entire team. Like c'mon, that's a high pressure moment already and you're going to make your dyslexic boo read on top of it?? I'm choosing to let it go, and that's not the hill I die on today. Let them be in love.
Hard no for me. This book was a rip off of so many things. Hunger games, the Bachelor, the list goes on.
