Was a bit spicier. Had the big demon book 4 crossover, and that was fun reading it from a different POV.
not into calling the only asian character a "ninja."
also with half the book missing the 3 mages, it wasn't too interesting to get through. heading into book three cause i'm thirsty for ezra, sue me.

Fun, light, kept me entertained. NOT into the current love interest and fingers crossed for some kind of love triangle situation in the next book(s). Fun seeing this team that was slightly featured in the Demonized series.
Holy smokes I haven't read a bully romance in a minute, I forgot how deliciously angsty they are.
Tory and Darcy seem pretty similar, angsty 18 year olds struggling to survive. I can understand how this was marketed as a fae/bully Harry Potter world, but i'd end the similarities with orphans that are offered a new life by attending an academy and have mysteriously murdered parents.
I LOVE how as the twins learn about the academy, the reader does as well. All of the heirs/bully boys are melding together into one conglomerate bully at the moment, but I imagine they're all going to get more defined identities throughout the series.
Fae are fucking harsh. I'm so curious how they're going to spin this and who the twin's love interests are.

I see they're going to be doing the cliffhanger nonsense to keep me reading, and you bet i'm diving immediately into book 2.

How dare you cut off our baby Darcy's hair. After she told the reason why she has it blue. The emotional and physical manipulation and terror is frightening.
I do appreciate getting a bit more insight into why the hell these boys are so awful by getting multiple POV's. They're assholes, but also have lived in a fight or die world with not the kindest upbringings. Makes more sense.
The teasing and sexual tension is intense.
Darius and his fire boy teaching is pretty damn hot, also convenient she needs both of his hands on her to get enough power, why not caress her hips while he's helping her learn her magic. Wink wink nudge nudge. Not going to lie,
I love the twins retaliation, and it makes sense. Boys are dumb and have big and simple ways of being bullies, the twins are smart and conniving. Get under their skin, make them feel pain in different ways. HELL YES.
