It was good seeing the actual @At world. It seems like all the conflicts of interest about the Switchoff are becoming increasingly clear.

I got these books because I really like mythology and was intrigued by a superhero series inspired by Sudanese gods. This issue was all over the place. The art style changed several times for no apparent reason. The dialogue was off. In some places, it sounded unrealistic and stilted and in others, it read more like an author's notes about a character than dialogue revealing a character. The characterization was heavy handed. You know who the villains are by the number of racist slurs they use. It felt gratuitous. The main villain's origin story was baffling, and the lore of the world felt poorly explained and awkward. It felt over the top enough to be campy, and parts of it made me laugh at how outlandish it was, but I don't think that was intentional. Some of the art of the gods is nice.

Okoye and Silhouette show up for this issue. I thought the conversation about everyone's family situations was weird, but it was quickly revealed why they were talking about it lol. I'm enjoying how all these characters bounce off of each other.

Cover art is gorgeous. I liked the font choices and formatting. Beautiful imagery in the poems. Personal favorites were Epiphany, Cult of Unbotheredness, Becoming (the Dragon's Daughter), and A Date & A Dragon. Enjoyed the blending of fantasy imagery and AAVE

I'm not an organizer or someone who works in nonprofits. I read excerpts for class and enjoyed it enough that I wanted to read the whole book. The parts comparing resistance/ social change to nature were inspirational, and the exercises in the back were useful. I didn't always agree with Brown's premises or conclusions, but I think I'm better for reading this book.

This is an ongoing fantasy romance web comic by Seth Smith about a trans man whose brother gets dragged into the underworld by demons. The protagonist goes to the underworld to get him back and starts a flirtationship with one of the demons.

The writing started off a bit rough. I'm not sure if it was a printing error, but there was a repeated sentence that was difficult to understand. Other than that, this story was a good mix of humor and mystery. There was a funny scene where a club of people who are interested in conspiracy theories and the supernatural meet a woman who says she's from the future. I enjoyed the protagonist's restlessness and creativity.
