This novella was really cute. It had me giggling and smiling!

Super cute quick listen. Thank you Abby Jimenez for always putting a smile on my face. I wish this novella was longer!

In this book we meet Bama and Mila. Their families were best friends and their dads raced the track together until one night there was an accident and Mila’s dad crashed with Bama’s dad and killed him. Bama’s love for the Hardy family including Mila turned to hate. Mila is a confident drag racer who is at the top of her sport. She pushed her way back into Bama’s life and his love for her comes flooding back. This is a sweet book and series but I prefer the Puck Boys of Brooks University. The narrators for this series of audio books are great.

This is book 2 in Sloane St. James’ Lakes Hockey series. We meet Micky and Rhys. Mickey has a Followers account (think only fans) and Rhys is a subscriber and soon realizes they are also neighbors. Rhys is a rookie on the Lakes hockey team and has sworn off dating and puck bunnies. He wants to prove himself to the team and wants no distractions. Mickey has her Followers account and works at a bar so she can save for her dream spot to open her own cafe. They start as enemies but overtime it turns into more. Mickey is spunky and sassy and showed that she can hold her own. I liked her as the female main character.

The topic of addiction is heavily woven into this book so check your triggers.

Fair warning, this book is very spicy.

Overall I am enjoying this series and am quickly moving on to book 3 and excited for book 4 in February!

Wow wow wow! Listen for the Lie by Amy Tintera is an excellent audiobook. If you are like me and love true crime podcasts, you would enjoy this book. I felt like I was listening to a real podcast. The narrators did a fantastic job with various character voices. The book is mainly told from the POV of Lucy but it has chapters where it is the podcast you are "listening" to. I'm not sure how that would come through with the print book but I was captivated by the audio. The plot is good and this who done it had me not knowing until the very end.

Lucy Chase is the subject of a true crime podcast hosted by Ben. He is trying to solve the murder of Lucy's best friend and town golden girl Savannah (Savvy). Most people think Lucy is responsible for the death of her friend. Lucy was sarcastic and snarky and made me laugh. Lucy's grandmother believes in Lucy's innocence and is a great side character. I don't want to give too much away, but do yourself a favor and listen to the audio of this book. You won't be disappointed!

I honestly can't say enough good things about the narrators! I will be looking for more audiobooks by them. While this was my first book by Amy Tintera, I am looking forward to reading more books by her in the future. This audio will be released on March 5, 2024. This was my first book by Sloane St. James and I am now obsessed with this series. I can’t wait to read the rest of this series. I’m series going to cancel all plans and binge them. In this book we mean Birdie and Lonan. They were childhood friends but Birdie was kidnapped as a young child and returns as an adult. The FMC is relatable in her insecurities and vulnerability. Lonan gave off “it’s always been you energy” and I was totally there for it. What a great start to a series. Very excited to read Mickey’s story in book 2. I like the side characters and look forward to reading their stories.

This book is AMAZING! I felt like I was on an emotional roller coaster and I loved every minute of it. Lost boy is book 5 in the Puck Boy series by Hannah Gray. In Lost Boy, we meet Haley and Cade. We are introduced to Haley in book 4 as Hunter’s little sister. Haley moves in with her big brother Hunter because of issues with her dorm. Hunter lives in a hockey house and Cade is one of his roommates. Cade and Haley get close but no one realizes how broken Cade is and what he is doing to mask his pain.

I love the character development of Cade’s character. I feel like we really got to see him struggle, hear his doubts and insecurities, and watch him try and turn his life around. Haley was a strong, brave, and beautiful female main character. I really admired her courage and how she handled herself throughout the challenges she faced.

I love the found family aspect in this series. They were there for each other and supported each other through the good and difficult times.

This book was so beautifully written and I wish I could read it for the first time again! Do yourself a favor and read this series. This book is going to live rent free in my head for a while.

I loved this book! 4.5 out of 5 stars. I felt all the emotions with this one! Brody and Bria both had traumatic childhoods and after meeting decide to form a pack to get their lives headed in the right direction. Through this pact they become best friends and decide to take their friendship to a friends with benefits relationship. Of course feelings develop, but Brody doesn’t feel he is worthy of being loved. This book made me cry and broke my heart for Brody. Bria wants to show Brody that he is enough. I am loving this series! I did a mix of audio and ebook. Great audio narration especially by male narrator.

4.5 out of 5 stars. This was my first book by Hannah Gray but now I am hooked and will be binging the rest of the books available in the series. I loved the characters and the character development in Addison and Cam. Cam showed so much devotion and would literally do anything for Addison and Cam. If you are in your hockey romance era like I am then I highly recommend this book.

3.75 stars rounded up. This dark romance features a morally grey MMC (Roman) who is protective and loves by the motto “touch her and you die.” He only has eyes for Bella and his interactions with her when they were growing up in the foster care system broke and melted my heart at the same time.

This told in dual POV and past and present timelines.

I love a morally grey tattooed MMC and I’m not sorry about it.
