Kids in the Kitchen by Rossini Perez is a really great cook book for beginners and children. My 11 year old daughter is taking a cooking class and this is the perfect book for her. The instructions are clear and easy and the recipes use simple ingredients. My daughters are very picky eaters but when we went through and marked pages of what we want to make, there were so many meals marked.
Other things I like:
* tips on some recipes,
* safety in the beginning
* beginner skills: how to measure, how to cut
* how to cut
*quizes
*vibrant pictures
There is such a good variety of foods and it is sectioned and easy to find recipes. Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group – Rock Point for voluntarily letting me read this book. The review is honest and my own opinion.
This would be a great book if you want to start cooking with your child in the kitchen. I highly recommend this book!

The Next Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine is a domestic thriller filled with lies and deception. This book takes place after the first book The Last Mrs. Parrish. Make sure you read that book first. There is even a novella called the First Shot that will give you more background into Amber.
I could not put this book down and loved every minute of the twisty ride it took me on. It is hard to review and not give anything away but I enjoyed the characters and loved to hate a few. I was engaged in each of the characters storylines and kept trying to predicting how everything was related and how it would play out in the end.
I loved being back in Bishop Harbor high society again. If you liked the first book then I think you will enjoy this one as well.
Thank you NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group- Ballantine for an ARC of this book. I voluntarily read it and gave an honest review.

The more I think about this book the lower my rating goes. The content is icky and maybe I would have enjoyed it more in a college setting. It’s a no for me on this one.
This book was a fantastic way to end this series. As sad as I am that this series has come to a close, Lawson’s story was beautiful and I am so happy he met his perfect match in Hallie. I love that Hallie fit perfectly in the lives of Lawson and his 3 boys.
Read this book if you enjoy:
* age gap
* forced proximity
* romantic suspense
* touch her and die vibes
* slow. Burn
* single dad/nanny
* found family
* serial unaliver
I listened to the is on auto and read the book and the narrators were a 5/5. It was narrated by Ava Erickson and Sebastian York.
This series was beautiful and I can’t wait for what Catherine Cowles has in store in the future!

Walk of Shame by Avery Flynn was full of chemistry between Astrid and Cal. Astrid was a sassy independent female main character and I she made me laugh often. I enjoyed Cal’s character as well, I just wish there were more swoony romantic moments between the two of them. Cal was swoony in the sense that he listened and noticed what she liked and did small gestures for Astrid. Astrid is relatable and trying to find her way and get her life back on track after being left at the alter in a public way.
If you are like me and enjoy a rom-com hockey romance, I think you will like this book!
Series: Book 2 in the Downside of Dating Book (but can be read as a standalone)
Genre: Sports Romance

The One with the Kiss Cam by Cindy Steel is a sweet laugh out loud read. I enjoyed this book from the beginning to the end. I was smiling through most of it. I related to the female main character and I loved Duke. He was so sweet and wholesome and just a great guy. His grandparents made my heart happy! I enjoyed the narration but would have loved a POV from Duke. I loved the concept of this book and it was executed so well. Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for an advanced listeners copy. I voluntarily read it and gave an honest review.

I loved this book! I loved both of the main characters but especially Romeo Knight. I have added him to my book boyfriend list.
The MMC could have been angry about his past but I love his mindset about it. He learned from it and it made him a better person.
The FMC was strong and independent. They were such a good match for each other.
The “I love yous” happened a little quick but I didn’t even care because I loved them so much.
I really love the found family/ friend group that they have. They are ride or die’s for life. I loved their band of brothers vibe and their banter. I can’t wait to read the stories about other boys.
Since this was my first Laura Pavlov book, I will now be reading her other series as well.
Read this book if you like:
* small town romance
* sports romance (MMC is a fighter)
* family drama
* grumpy/sunshine
* dual POV
* close proximity
* found family (ride or die squad)
* bad boy/ good girl
I also listened to this on audio and the narrators were amazing. It is done in dual POV by Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais. 5/5 narration. Connor Crais’ voice is just ahhh perfection.

The Custody Battle by Ellie Monago follows Madeline and Greg as they navigate divorce and the custody of their 10 year old daughter. They start out wanting to have a civil divorce but things become hostile. Secrets are revealed and lies and deceit happen from both sides.
Their daughter Lola becomes a pawn in their divorce and is suffering at the hands of her parents.
The cover was deceptive because I thought it was going to be about a baby. The narrator’s did a good job and I am glad that this story was told in dual narration.
I didn’t care for any of the characters but I think that is to be expected with this type of book. It was a little slow at times and I wasn’t always engaged In the story.
I liked that this story was told in a dual POV. I think that made the story more interesting.
story 3/5 stars
narration 4/5 stars

I really enjoyed this book. I really didn’t care for Kate in the beginning and wasn’t sure I would be able to like her, but as the story unfolds I did. As the story went on and her past was revealed and I could read her inner thoughts about her past, I came to empathize with her and understand why she made some of the choices she did. I liked the character development of Kate throughout the book. Beck was such a good man and I loved his character, patience, and how he loved Kate for who she was including all her flaws.
I would recommend reading the other books in this series before this one.
Read this book if you enjoy:
* it’s always been you
* he falls first
* her ex’s best friend
* pining
* forced proximity
* past trauma (FMC)
I read the book in KU and listened to the audiobook. The audiobook is 5/5 narration. It is done in duet narration by Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais. Connor Crais voice was just chef’s kiss!
I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Where do I start with Cluelessly Yours by Max Monroe? I LOVED this book! Besides the Friends and Michael Scott references in the book, it has a good story line and engaging characters.
This book is the third standalone book in an interconnected series. I didn’t read the two previous books but I am going to now. This is my first book by Max Monroe but her other two books in this series have moved to the top of my TBR list.
I liked the layout of how this book was presented. It had a first half that was in Sammy’s perspective and then part two was the male MMC perspective and then part three was them mixed together.
I love a single parent troupe and Sammy was such a relatable character. I was a little concerned with the love triangle troupe but it is done so well in this book.
It is hard to review this book without giving away who she ends up with but let’s just say that he is now on my list of best book boyfriends. The micro troupe I love is he takes care of her and in this book he lets her rest and takes care of her two sons. SWOON!!
I enjoyed the side characters and look forward to reading their stories. I laughed throughout the book and held my breath in anticipation at times.
I also listened to the audio and the narrators’ performance was a 5/5. They did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life!
