You're trying to find the turtle at the bottom of the pile but that's not how it works.

The thing about John Green is that his writing is almost always more beautiful than the story itself. This book wasn't as good as TFIOS, and for me, at least, John Green is always going to be the guy who wrote TFIOS. But it doesn't mean that I didn't like this book. This book was a quick, fun read, and I really enjoyed Aza's character. I could really emphatize with her. The ending of John Green's books are either very shocking or very surprising, and they almost always leave you with tears in your eyes, and this book was no exception in that regard.

None ever says goodbye unless they want to see you again.

John handled the topic of OCD quite well. After reading this book i can imagine how it must be for people who suffer from this disease. How it must be to feel trapped in a body that's not even yours. The writing was magnificent. You will find little pieces of gems embeded on every page that will make you wonder about your life, universe and everything there is.

Characters were a bit cheesy tho. The girl who doesn't fit. Best friend who is full of life. A guy who is pretending to be strong when is completely broken inside.

Overall the book was interesting but not as great as John's other books, but I'd say it's a lot better than looking for Alaska and abundance of Katherines.

Sugar, spice and everything nice. A perfect blend of everything. there is love, romamce, heartbreak, loss, ghosts, mystery, dogs. EVERYTHING.

I didn't absolutely love this book but it was entertaining, i must give it that. Writing was immaculate and characters were interesting enough to keep the readers wanting to read more. I would describe it as charming, endearing, heartwarming and delightful. I loved the concept, it was very interesting, even if it wasn't executed that well. if you are in mood to read something light hearted and fun, this is a perfect book.

btw, if i had to pay a penny every time the phrase "lovely cup of tea" was used, i would have become homeless. the author must really like tea or maybe she was just streotyping the british. i mean whatever it's time for my lovely cup of tea now. You guys should definitely check out this book and enjoy it with a lovely cup of tea like I did. Do share what you thought about this book in the comment section, when you are done reading it, while enjoying a lovely cup of tea. lol.

fascinating read. loved it!

The last 100 pages :'( We focus too much on forever that we forget that forever is not possible. Immortal is only God and nothing else can last but still we all have a chance to live infinity. We just need to notice the good happening around us, the people around us its like our universe that wants to be noticed and appreciated. We may not get to spend much time with people we really care about but that's how it is some infinities are shorter than the other infinities and some are bigger than the other. We don't get to choose if we get hurt in this world but we do have some say in who hurts us and i feel like i am okay with the choices i made after reading this book.

No book has ever inspired me as much as this book has. I have no words to express how truly grateful I am for, biz stone, to write this book.
The book tell us about his journey from a guy who had nothing to a guy who's a billionaire and guy who worked day and night to build something he hold dear only to leave it, later, at the hands of those who can never understand the future he had foreseen for his company. I think I am not the only one who was on the verge of crying when he was telling us about his departure from Twitter. It was so heart wrenching to read about how his dreams were crushed in just blink of an eye, and how Twitter become, instantly after his departure, what he never wanted it to become. He was not only an excellent entrepreneur but also a very great human being. He said, If you believe in something you automatically start working towards making it happen and that exactly what he did; he truely made himself worthy of the title "biz stone, Genius"

Heartbroken by the loss of someone I didn't even know. It's difficult to type with tears welling up in your eyes. I think i need a moment to gather and contemplate on my thoughts.

"What happened to Paul was a tragic, but he wasn't a tragedy."

Like, In the foreword, Abraham Verghese, told us that he got know Paul when he was cease to be in a way he couldn't have, had he had the chance to call him his friend. I feel the same way; even though, I never met Paul It feels like I have lost someone very dear to me.

"We carry with us wonders, we seek without us. "

If he were alive, he would have become a great writer some day. This book was beautifully written, every word, every sentences, was heart warming, kind of like food for soul. I can't review someone's life, obviously, so I am only going tell you that you should read this book. It will change your perspective on life.

Here are some beautiful quotes from the book that I loved and don't want to forget.

"We are never as wise as when we live in the moment."

"if the unexamined life wasn't worth living, was the unlived live worth examining? "

"Cadavers reserve the polarity. The mannequins you pretend are real, the Cadavers you pretend are fake."

"one day we are born, one day we shall die, the same day, the same second... birth astride of a grave, the light gleams an Instant, then it's night once more."

"They see the past and accumulation of memories, the freshly felt love, all represented by the body before them. I see the possible futures."

"I was not yet with my patients in their pivotal moments, I was merely at those pivotal moments."

"Are you hungry? What can I get you to eat?"
"Anything" she said. "I am starving."
"Well, how about lobster and steak?" he picked up the phone and called the nursing station. "My patient needs lobster and steak- right away." Turning back to her, he said, with a smile: "it's on the way, but it may look more like a Turkey sandwich."

"You can't ever reach perfection, but you can believe in an asymptote towards which you are ceaselessly striving."

"cease not till death."

"A little learning is a dangerous thing/drink deep, or taste not the pierian spring."

"it occured to me that my relationship with statistic changed as soon as I became one."

"Doctors are entrusted to bring that person's expectations into the realm of reasonable possibilities."

"Getting two deep into statistic is like trying to quench thirst with salty water."

"like my own patients, I had to face my mortality and try to understand what made my life worth living."

"The defining characteristic of organisms is striving."

"I can't go on. I'll go on."

"I felt like someone had taken away my credit card and I was having to learn how to budget."

"Death maybe a one time event, but living with terminal illness is a process."

"Maybe I had been cursed by a Greek God, but abdicating control seemed irresponsible, if not impossible."

" These days, time feels less like the ticking clock and more like state of being."

"When you come to one of the many moments in life where you must give an account of yourself, provide a ledger of what you have been, and done, and meant to the world, do not, I pray, discount the fact you filled a dying man's days with sated joys, a joy unknown to me in my prior years, a joy that doesn't hunger for more and more but rests, satisfied. In this time, right now, it's an enormous thing.

"Can you breath ok with my head on your chest like this." his answer was "it is the only way I know how to breathe."

"Paul faced each face of illness with grace - not with bravado or misguided faith that he would overcome or beat cancer but with authenticity that allowed him to grief the loss of the future he had planned and forge a new one."

"Bereavement is not the truncation of married love, but one of its regular phases - like the honeymoon. What we want is to live our marriage well and faithfully in that phase too.

"When people die, people tend to say great things about them. Please know all the wonderful things people are now saying about your dad are true. He really was that great and brave. "

This one is my least favorite Malcolm gladwell book but it still deserve 4.5 stars. I find that some examples in the book weren't that interesting but the book is filled with tons of valuable information and therefore should be read by everyone. It's very empowering too. After reading this book I feel like I can take over the world.
