There was nothing obnoxiously wrong with this book, it was really a fun read, I enjoyed it. It's when you juxtapose it with the first book that you start noticing all the miss opportunities and flaws in the book. Khalid's character became the victim of poor writing and didn't do much to impress me in this book, but I was happy with whatever part he got to play in the story. The ending too was rushed; All the mystery and drama culminated to a climax that didn't live up to my expectations at all. And a few things were left unexplained, like a thing Rajput did and something that happened with Jahandar.
But overall it was an entertaining and a fun to read book The love triangle was handled perfectly, it wasn't cheesy at all. I loved shazy and the mystical and magical aspect of the book.

I have no issues with Eustace Conway. I am sure he is great person. The problem was with Elizabeth gilbert's writing; it was boring and dry, and I had a hard time finishing this book. I love Elizabeth's other books but this was a big miss opportunity. I picked this up book thiking, I was going to reading about an environmentalist living in the woods to prove the world that living in wilderness is not only possible but also necessary for our survival. But Elizabeth only educated us with eustace conway's daddy issues and his affairs with women. I learned nothing from this book. It was just lame.

I had expected so much from this book, but it, unfortunately, lackluster. Don't get me wrong, I had a great time reading this one, but I just feel it's a pretty typical YA fantasy adventure book, nothing special.
The concept of parallel worlds is intriguing but is wasted on an ordinary story. I wish Victoria had chosen a different genre instead of YA for this concept, but I will still recommend this book to anyone who loves YA fantasy books.
There was a great opportunity, within this storyline, to explore the political tensions and lust for thrones between the rulers of the different worlds, but Victoria missed it. And hence, most characters in the book had no purpose whatsoever. In simple words this book is a big Miss opportunity.

Duecedly beautiful, schathingly painful, ultimately ulplifiting and utterly moving tale of Cathy and her family dealing with the tragedy that was thrust upon them when the horrific accident left her brother -- Matty -- into a vegetative state. This tale of love and loss will shatter your heart into a million pieces and then put it back together filling the cracks with hope. I have no words to explain how beautiful this book is. Just read it!!
The letter in end of the book that Cathy has written for her dead brother is something you won't be able to read without tears welling up in your eyes.

Ian crofton did a great job of compiling all the information that you don't need in one book so you can avoid it altogether. History without the boring bits is actually more boring than a usual history book.
I'll highly recommend all of you to NOT read this book.

1rst part was great, 2nd was okay and third was boring and tedious.

This was my first book of paulo coelho and i am sad to say I didn't like it. it was boring, tedious and unimaginative. I just couldn't understand the message Paulo was trying to convey.

A story about a stupid girl who wanted to kill herself for no reason whatsoever. She instead of owning up to her mistakes and doing something about it chose to kill herself which in my opinion was really stupid. It was an amazing concept and i loved the writing but there were many loop holes in the story. Also some parts were repetitive and boring.
too much going on. the story was complicated, frustrating and boring. it could have been interesting, if the story had ended in 300 pages.
I love how Neil Gaiman brilliantly blurs the line between a children and an adult story. This book, however, is straight up children book and hence a disappointment. it was good but not as good as his previous work.
