I had expected so much from this book, but it, unfortunately, lackluster. Don't get me wrong, I had a great time reading this one, but I just feel it's a pretty typical YA fantasy adventure book, nothing special.

The concept of parallel worlds is intriguing but is wasted on an ordinary story. I wish Victoria had chosen a different genre instead of YA for this concept, but I will still recommend this book to anyone who loves YA fantasy books.

There was a great opportunity, within this storyline, to explore the political tensions and lust for thrones between the rulers of the different worlds, but Victoria missed it. And hence, most characters in the book had no purpose whatsoever. In simple words this book is a big [b] Miss opportunity.[/b]
