Full Series Review!

I loved this! I loved the previous story, Secret XXX, so now having read this spin-off I’m so happy with how it turned out. Loved seeing the couple grow. Don’t know much else to say oddly, I’m just blown away with this one. I highly recommend this and I will be moving onto Restart as soon as I can.

I started reading this in 2018 when the series first started being translated into English. I would’ve finished this 3 years ago but then the pandemic happened which understandably delayed the other volumes I needed. But now the wait is done and I have finished one of my favourite manga series. It feels great!

I’m going to read any story that involves a Monster/Non-Human and Human relationship. I love Monster Romance, and this is no exception. It is very much Beauty and the Beast inspired but less Stockholm Syndrome and way more Fantasy Racism. So yes, this is a dark read but it also has very lighthearted stuff to balance it out. I love this series so much, I’m so happy with how it wrapped itself up. I love the couple so much and I love seeing them develop into a stronger bond. I highly recommend it, just be sure if you need them please read the content warnings.

I loved this! This is my first Katee Robert book and I’m already obsessed with this start of the series. I need the second book immediately!

The characters were great. I loved the world building and the set ups for the rest of the series. I loved the way it was written though there were some small mistakes thrown here and there, but that’s okay. It is a great first start. Eagerly waiting for more of the series. Highly recommend if you love Monster Romance/Smut. Though note it does deal with some dark themes so read the content warnings before reading if you need them.

Final Volume - Full Series Review!

Let’s start with the obvious, the Adult/Minor Romantic Relationship. This is ultimately what the series is about. It’s about them making it work, with parental consent and all. So if that is something that is triggering, very understandably so, then skip this series entirely. There is plenty of books out there filled with healthy Adult age gaps worth reading. Highly encourage anyone promoting Takane & Hana to mention the Adult/Minor Romanitc Relationship content warning and not calling it an age gap alongside the healthy Adult/Adult age gaps, call it what it is for those who need to know.

Now that aside, this was a very enjoyable read for me. It’s hilarious, fun and overall liked what I was reading. The characters were the most enjoyable thing and I was extremely happy with seeing a Trans woman character being portrayed respectfully. I wish that there was more time to spend with her but sadly not. She is one of my faves in the whole series, I’d come back to this in a Takane & Hana spin-off if she had a series of her own but I don’t think that will happen.

Takane & Hana is not going to be for everyone, however if you are going to read the series I hope you have as good a time reading it as I did. Will I read this series again? Probably not, I enjoyed my time but I’m not likely to dive back in as far as I know.

This was cute! Short and sweet, my only complaint is that I think it’s too short. It would’ve benefited from another volume or two for more character development but what the author was able to do in just one volume was pretty great. I loved the relationship and how one is exploring their sexuality and is questioning what they are interested in.

Highly recommend this if you want something very cute, quick and light.
