Another day, another book I was looking forward to that's littered with sloppy writing and pop culture references; in chapter 1 alone, there was 10. I was going to hate read this but it's honestly not worth my time, and it's not worth yours.

dnf @ 15% with 19 pop culture violations.

The first half of this book was fantastic. Although, I thought her 'revenge' was going to be murder and not cheating. Then the 2nd half of this book just went completely downhill. Was the 2nd half just written by someone else because it was not nearly as good. But also, being with your ex husband's best friend, who is also seeing your best friend. The fuck. AND hooking up with your ex husband who is engaged to the woman he left her for. FMC is just a shitty person and i wanted to throat punch her more than once. I wish i could get back the time i spent reading this.

This was honestly super disappointing. I was so excited to read this book because pirates & witches! But, where the fuck are the pirates in this book? The story was all over the place, far too much going on. I can't even tell you what the original plot of this book was. The insta love here wasn't my jam either, since i felt nothing for these characters.

This novella was definitely not for me. Based on the title I thought this was going to have a lot of spice but it was practically vanilla.
