Paul has a mental health disorder and he feels disassociative because he is hallucinating a different world. However, they are prophecies and are actually happening. Will he accept his fate?
It took me three freaking days to finish this! It’s not the books fault, but mine. I’m having a hard time concentrating on a lot of things and I need to go to the psychiatrist to get something to help me focus since my meds are kind of making me seem like I’m having adult adhd. One psychiatrist tested me and I was borderline of having it, but not treated for adhd. Anyway, I’m going to get that hopefully fixed and helped. So, reading has been a huge chore for me. This books graphics were very well done and super fantasy. I really wanted to read this because it is created by Brandon Sanderson and Brandon Sanderson has an amazing imagination and brings amazing stories out. He’s truly my favorite author now. I thought the storyline was unique and I liked the twist of events with Paul. Didn’t see it coming. I did find the end a bit confusing. I know there is talks of maybe not making another volume, but I have my toes and fingers crossed that they do since this was well done. Totally recommend if you’re looking for a graphic novel or something fast to read.

This follows Simone Biles from the time she is born to the time she goes to the 2016 Olympics in Rio. This follows hardship and joy.
I really, really enjoyed this and didn’t want to stop listening to this. I never knew Simone was in foster care and adopted by her grandparents. I can somewhat relate to her because I was not adopted by my grandparents, but was raised by them from the time I was 3 months old until the time I went to college. I love how Simone and her sister get a dog. I can totally see why Simone dropped out of some of the competitions in this past Olympics based off what she wrote in this. Also, I never knew she had ADHD. I think that’s cool that she has a hard time focusing on things, but when it comes to gymnastics she has laser focus. I totally recommend this book.

This follows Charlie and Nick on a Paris adventure and they think about telling everyone that they are dating.
I really loved this volume the most. I liked that these two were trying to find ways to come out to their friends and school that they were dating. There is mental illness in this book and one of the characters has an eating disorder. Those two things are real things teenagers go through and it makes the book seem so much more real. This will definitely be on my favorite books of the year. I can’t wait for the next volume!

Nick isn’t extraordinary, but he writes fan fiction about them and is quite popular in the fan fiction world. However, he sets out to become extraordinary. Nick has ADHD as well. He does face down with some extraordinary people, who are like superhero’s. This book is queer as well.
Okay, I’m going to admit the beginning was hard for me to concentrate on and I have been having horrible focus lately. Well, a lot of the time, but more recently. Anyway, I just got diagnosed with ADHD and the main character has ADHD, so that’s cool and relatable. I was able to concentrate on the middle to end well because I just got prescribed Vyvanse. Anyway, Nick was not always taking his meds and it would get him into trouble and one character mentioned he could be extraordinary by taking his meds. A difference was made. His father does become injured and this makes Nick want him more and bring him closer to his father. I really enjoyed seeing the father and son relationship. I enjoyed Nick’s crush. I thought this was a good book and look forward to the sequel.

There are five girls with a mission at Clafflin Academy-to get into an Ivy League school. They disrupt class ranks, academic competitions, and club leaderships. Olivia gets into Harvard and doesn’t tell the others because it was Avery’s dream and she doesn’t get in. Emma gets into Harvard as well and Avery finds out. A fight entails and Avery tells Emma that she would kill her. Later, Emma is found dead. Olivia takes it into her own hands to figure out who the killer is as well as some secrets that were kept.
Usually, thrillers disappoint me, but this book didn’t disappoint. The Ivy girls were unlikeable. You didn’t know who the killer was and the secrets. This book was well plotted. I definitely recommend this book.

Elvis is apart of the Hawks and must find a film and surveillance Maite because she was the last one to see Leonora. Maite was asked to watch Leonora’s cat and Leonora asks Maite to bring her a box and her cat at a certain place, but Leonora never shows. Maite becomes worried and starts investigating what happened to Leonora.
Alright, I loved Mexican Gothic by this author and I had to request this book off of Netgalley. I got approved and was so excited. However, this book was disappointing and did not live up to my expectations. I did enjoy the dual perspectives and how they ended up tying together. The twist was good, however it was almost expected and didn’t give you that wow factor that you look forward to in these type of books. Maite was a bit unlikeable because she constantly compared herself to Leonora and complained about her own looks and wardrobe. This book was slow at times too. It was just an okay read for me.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I was looking at my August reviews on Instagram and noticed I only had 17 reviews up when I’ve actually read 18 books. I finished this book a week ago and finally remembered to review it when I was wondering what book was missing. Oops. Anyway, here is the review!
Daisy Winters is an upbeat 16 year old and her older sister is engaged to the Crown Prince of Scotland. His younger brother has scandal follow him everywhere and tries to bring Daisy on the ride.
I enjoyed Royals and it was a short fun read. I really enjoyed Daisy as a character. I’m a sucker for any type of books that have Royals in them. So, I just had to read this.

The Paper Palace is a family place that Elle and her family visit every year. Elle is married and has children as well as 50 years old. This summer is different, her and her old crush/friend Jonas sneak out and have sex while their spouses are inside talking. Elle has to decide if she wants to stay married with Peter or be with Jonas. A tragic event in her life has separated her and Jonas and she wonders if it didn’t happen, then would they be together?
Trigger warning: Rape and Affairs.
I picked this up because it was a Reese Witherspoon pick and I knew nothing about it. As I first started to listen to it, I was like I don’t know if this isn’t for me. Then, I noticed Elle was having an affair and I didn’t like that. I really don’t like when characters have affairs. I started to like the book when the flashbacks of Elle’s life happened and it made us know more about Elle and Jonas. Once I got toward the end, I started to not like it again. So, I ended up giving this a three out of five stars for that reason.

Aurena is the King’s favorite and the King is not just any king, he is Midas and he can turn anything into good-including Aurena. The other saddles aren’t particularly fond of her. There is another King who wants a night with Aurena in exchange for Midas giving his troops and support to attack another kingdom.
This is definitely for people 18 and over because the first scene is definitely explicit to give warning. There really isn’t any romance in this one and the love interest for Aurena is not introduced literally until 80% into the book. This book is the backstory to set up for the next two books and I’ve had many people tell me this is like a prequel for the other two books, but once you get to book two it gets addicting. I’m really excited to read the others and see what the hype is about.

This is the sequel to Kinder Poison and I really don’t want to summarize it because I struggle with writing summaries to sequels because of you know, spoilers. Anyway, I really enjoyed this. I like that the kingdom is on a brink of war and the politics. I enjoyed Jet and Zahru together and teaming up. Kasta is an interesting character and you kind of like him, but hate him at the same time. I definitely recommend this series.
