Tessa believes everything in her life is going well. An attack happens and she is surprised to find her sister Marian is involved and may be involved with the IRA. As the story progresses both sisters become entangled with the IRA.
I found this novel to be a fast read, but really forgettable. I did like the family and the secrets that were involved. I loved being able to see Northern Ireland and their troubles.

I always loved the Poky Little Puppy as a kid. Today while I was working with a student, they picked this book out and I got so excited because I didn’t know there were spin offs of the book. I absolutely loved it.
Francesca’s husband of two years complains of a headache and goes and lies down. When he is supposed to get up from an appointment, Francesca goes and checks on him and finds him dead. She is good friends with his cousin Michael and they both mourn him. Michael has always been in love with Francesca and became a womanizer to get her out of his head. Once John dies, Michael heads to India for four years. Four years later, Francesca wants a baby and decides she will marry. With Michael now being the Earl he should be finding a wife.
This is probably my least favorite Bridgerton book. I probably put too high of expectations on it because I’ve talked to a lot of people on the Bridgerton Facebook group that say this is the best book of the series. Well, for me I found it slow in the beginning. Then, I was constantly annoyed with the will they, won’t they trope. I really wanted to smack both of them and tell them to just get together already. I hated how Francesca was leading Michael on. I did like Michael as a character and I found it interesting to really finally be introduced to Francesca’s character.

The world ends again. In one day, three terrible things happen. Essun, who thinks she lives a normal, small town life learns her husband has killed their son and kidnapped their daughter. The empire collapses and many people are murdered to serve a madman’s vengeance. Also, the land is dying. What else is going to go wrong?
I felt like the was an unique story and had great characters. I did listen to it on audiobook, but I found my mind wandering a lot and being bored. I wonder if it would have been different if I read this book physically. I do plan to read the next book.

This book has LGBTQ representation. The First Sister is a priestess that is blessed by the goddess and is the captains and cannot be touched by others to be used for pleasure. The Sisters are there for confessions and to pleasure others if it is requested. The Sisters cannot talk and are forbidden to write. The First Sister is asked by the Mother to spy on the new captain to find treason on them. Lito is a solider who is assigned to kill his former partner. Lito’s former partner, Hiro sends recording to him to show how they are guilty and why it’s okay.
There are obvious three different point of views and three different plots that eventually come together. When I was about to read this book, I looked up the reviews on Goodreads and Litsy and got worried that I wouldn’t like this book, but as I was reading I fell in love with it. The writing is beautiful. The characters were interesting-especially the Sisters with what and what they can’t do. I would go nuts if I couldn’t talk. There were many twists I didn’t think that would happen. I recommend this sci-fi book that has undertones of Red Rising and The Handmaidens Tale.

It’s been rough listening to audiobooks on the couch and playing games on my phone so I don’t get bored and have my mind wander off. Usually I take Riot on a long walk twice a day and listen to audiobooks, but I’m having knee pain from an unknown cause so I’m out of commission with walking him and I have around 11 audiobooks checked out on Libby, so I really need to listen to audiobooks. This book, however was boring to me and I couldn’t connect with the characters. I just didn’t care what was going on. I just kept with it because it was a short book.

The second daughters of the family are cursed when it comes to finding love. When a great-aunt calls and propositions that Emilia and Lucy come with her to her home country of Italy, then their great-aunt will find love and break the family curse. However, secrets come out and changes everything.
This book was a Book of the Month a few months ago and I thought eh this is not for me. While I was looking through the library on Libby for audiobooks, I decided to give this a try. Oh my gosh am I glad I picked this up. This story is just beautiful. I loved the heartache, the secrets, the self-discovery, and the whirlwind trip to Italy. I hated some characters and sympathized with others. I didn’t want this story to end. This is a must read!

Gareth is a rake and is not really the Baron’s son, but the Baron has never declared that Gareth was. They both are estranged. Hyacinth is very talkative and very opinionated. She sees Lady Danbury every Tuesday to read to her. When Gareth needs someone to translate his grandmothers diary, he finds out Hyacinth can. They discover there is hidden jewels and that this may be financially helpful for Gareth. From there sparks fly.
I was hesitant to read this since I didn’t like When He Was Wicked and I’m getting a little burnt out from reading Bridgerton books basically back to back. Surprisingly this was good. I loved both characters. People say Eloise is a firecracker, but I really believe Hyacinth really is the firecracker of the family. She has to have the last word and is ultimately stubborn. I really didn’t like the epilogue.

This is a domestic thriller between a husband, a wife, and a best friend. Alice is remarried and has it all-children and a successful business. She believes her life would have been different if her first husband lived. With her best friend by her side they will get through anything because they have each other.
I really enjoyed The Other Woman when I read that a few years ago. I decided to give this a shot since I liked The Other Woman, but I was very disappointed in this book. I found myself wondering off in thoughts because this book was not engaging for me. The ending was very predictable for me. This was just meh.

I tend to browse Amazon for new books and sometimes Goodreads for upcoming releases. I found this on either of those places and I tend to be drawn to covers. I got drawn in with the cover and read the description and wanted to read it so bad. Then, I found out this book is blurbed but my favorite author, Sarah J. Maas. It’s even dedicated to Sarah J. Maas. Putting those aside I adored this book. The writing was lush and captivating. The twists were amazing and very hard to guess. I loved the friendships and I loved Kiva’s compassion. This book is amazing and you need to read it!
