I really don’t know how to explain Gideon the Ninth. She is a fighter and escapes from her house and runs into Harrow. I listened to the audiobook and found myself lost a lot of the time. I did enjoy the humor in the book. Also, Gideon is badass. I do feel like the book was longer than it should be and had a lot going on in it.

My heart, my gosh this book is so amazing. Sarah did an amazing job on this book and telling Feyre's story. The action was amazing. Plot twists were great. Definitely my favorite book by Sarah J. Maas.

Linus is a case worker is sent on a secret mission to an island with dangerous children. Arthur is the orphanages caretaker and will do anything to protect his wards. Linus is used to living a quiet, solitary life and has to face his fears with the children. Will they all change his life?
I absolutely enjoyed this book. My favorite character is Lucy. He was really funny and cute. I mean there was a lot of funny things in the story, but Lucy made the story for me. I enjoyed Linus’ growth and how his life changed with meeting the children and Arthur.

Prudence is partners with Quint, who is just an awful biology partner. He is always late, misspells words, and never really does anything. Prudence likes to have things done. She’s a perfectionist. They end up getting a C on their assignment and she can’t have that. The teacher allows them to resubmit it during summer break if they actually both work on it as a team. Prudence feels like she can do it on her own and reads Quint’s report and discovers there is an animal center in town that rescues sea animals. She goes there and finds out Quint volunteers there and that his mom owns it. He agrees to redo the project if Pru volunteers at the center. Also, Pru randomly gets instant karma powers after a night of karaoke and hitting her head.
I could not stand Pru. She is selfish, self-entitled, annoying, and a hot head. I enjoyed the sea animals and Quint. I felt like the ending was rushed and just thrown in to make drama. Also, the ending was not satisfying.

Every seven years is an Agon. The Agon is where the gods come back as mortal and are hunted. Whoever slays a god inherits the the gods power and becomes that god. Lore’s family had been slaughtered the last Agon. She has been hiding and during the next Agon two gods seek her out to help them because something is amiss. There is another god slaughtering other gods to try to win the Agon. Lore, her friends, and the gods must try to stop it before destruction happens.
Oh. My. Gosh. Lore was amazing. It’s definitely going to make my favorite books of 2021 once December comes. It had a ton of action in it, friendship, and a slow burn romance. There was a lot of twists and turns. I could not put this down. It was so good. I highly, highly recommend Lore.

Dark Lover is about a brotherhood of vampires who are warriors. Darrius, the father of Beth dies and Beth is close to transitioning as she is half human, half vampire. Wrath decides he will help her and as he helps her sparks fly between the two. There is a cop named Butch who thinks Wrath and his brothers are drug dealers and will do anything to save Beth from them. There is even an evil person named Mr. X killing people and hatching an evil plan.
I tried reading this book in July of 2017 and hated it. I even dnfed it and with knowing Sarah J. Maas and Jennifer L. Armentrout loving JR Ward, I decided let’s give this series another try, but on audio. This time I actually enjoyed it. The instant love got to me again and I wasn’t a huge fan of it, but the love story ended up being good. I had a little hard time getting into the writing. Also, this isn’t a bad thing, but I really hated Butch’s character. Overall a good story.

Warning this is definitely for 18 years and older. A King So Cold follows a young and cold Queen named Audra. Her husband, the King betrayed her and is now in exile. News of his upcoming nuptials finds Audra and she goes and gets the exiled King. He cannot remember his life before Exile and she tells him stories of how they met and fell in love to make him remember his self. Meanwhile a war is brewing and Audra is stringing along Zad. What will happen?
I have been wanting to read A King So Cold for the longest time and finally broke down when I got Kindle Unlimited again. This book is dark and erotic. It makes you sympathize with Audra who is a twisted and dark queen. I can’t wait for the sequel.
