Stone Cold Touch takes place a few weeks after White Hot Kiss. It deals with the consequence of the ritual that was performed and the evil that is lurking because of it. There is a love triangle in this, but isn’t terrible.
I really enjoyed Stone Cold Touch. It had romance and action in it. Also, the ending was jaw dropping and made me crave the third book.

Every Last Breath picks up seconds after the jaw dropping ending of Stone Cold Touch. This was filled with a lot of feels. I felt sadness, happiness, and fear. This was an amazing conclusion of Layla’s story. The romance was done well. The action was great. Both Layla, Roth, and Zayne had a lot of growth throughout the series. This was just amazing.

Rage and Ruin takes place right after Storm and Fury. Trinity is still living in DC with Zayne as they hunt for the thing killing wardens and demons. At least they finally know the thing is called the Harbringer. But, who is the Harbringer? There is once again demons, witches, and wardens throughout this book who help guide us to who is the Harbringer. There is romance, action, and friendship throughout it too.
I really loved the development of Trinity and Zayne throughout the books. Their relationship grows too and is beautiful. This book was great and I highly enjoyed it and cannot wait for the third installment next summer.

Amber pretends to be Daphne’s friend and to have a sister with CF just to get close to Jackson, Daphne’s husband. Will Amber be able to get close and become the next Mrs. Parrish? Will secrets come out? Will anyone one get caught?
The Last Mrs. Parrish was gripping and hard to put down. I wanted to see every way Amber could manipulate Daphne to get to Jackson. I loved all the secrets. Also, I really enjoyed Amber’s point of view as well as Daphne’s, since a lot of stuff came to light about everything. I, however, did not like Amber fat shaming people. I know she is supposedly supposed to be an unlikeable narrator, but it just put a bad taste in my mouth. Also, there was another character that would fat shame as well, but that too was how the character was. Not the best, but the story was still really good. I definitely recommend this twisted story.

I love this series, I do. However, I found Opal to be a little hard to get into and on the slow side. Partially I think it was me because I just felt in a down state as I was trying to read this. It was still great and had a huge cliffhanger at the end that makes you want more.
Opal takes place right after Onyx. I really love how each book ties in the gems to each story. We have all our main characters back and they are running into danger to save a few people. Will they be able to save the people they love? Or will they fail?

DNF. I loved Everless and didn’t really enjoy Evermore, so I was very skeptical coming into Havenfall and unsure I was going to even like it. Sara Holland writes well. The cover is beyond gorgeous. This has a great plot line, however it wasn’t executed well. It’s really slow and boring. The world building is not the greatest as well as the character development and building. I cannot tell you anything that well about the characters because they really aren’t described.
Havenfall is about Maddie who goes to a place in Colorado every summer called Havenfall. It’s a hidden place that is magical. No one outside of the place knows about it. It’s Maddie’s escape from the real world where her mother is on death row and where her father disapproves of her going to Havenfall. Maddie’s dream is to one day be the innkeeper of Havenfall in the next decade or two, however that may happen sooner. On her first night back to Havenfall, her uncle, the innkeeper is attacked and is unconscious. So, Maddie has to find out how to stop the attacks, seal a portal, find out who is behind open the portal, and be the innkeeper during the Summit.

This takes place right before Half-blood. This shows the life of Alex right up to where Half-blood takes place and her interactions with her mom and others in the mortal world. This was good and put somethings into perspective.

Torn takes place right after Wicked. Ivy must come to terms with what she really is. But, does she really know herself? Will she find herself along the way? Will she let the ones she loves know her secret that she is trying to hide?
I really enjoyed this even more than Wicked. There was a lot of action, drama, and romance through this. Plus, my favorite character, Tink made the book. He was always funny in each of his scenes and it just made it awesome. I love Ivy and Ren with their sweet romance. This is definitely action packed and will leave you on the edge of your seat.

Brave takes place right after Torn. Ivy must deal with how to become herself again due to what went down and happened to her over the course of the series. There was a lot of action and romance in this book. It puts you on the edge of your seat. I gave this book four stars because I didn’t feel like the ending was as satisfying as it should have been. Everything didn’t feel like it tied up as well as it should have been.

Mexican Gothic is a gothic, horror, thriller that takes place in the 1950’s. Noemí is a socialite and receives a weird and concerning letter from her cousin Catalina, who was recently married. Her father thinks that Catalina may need psychiatric care and wonders if her new husband just wants Catalina for her money, so Noemí’s father sends her off to visit her cousin at the place called High Place. Once at High Place, Noemí starts to see odd behavior from her cousin and even starts to have nightmares and sleepwalks. She is convinced that something isn’t right. But, what could it possibly be?
Mexican Gothic is gripping and hard to put down. It’s dark and mysterious. Noemí is a spoiled person who thinks she is entitled and strong willed, but this helps her through the novel and she never gives up. I loved watching her character development. I loved hearing the local spin on the gossip surround the Doyle family and High Place. Then, I loved the slow burn romance that is in this novel. This book was just absolutely amazing and definitely one of my favorite thriller/horror novels I have ever read. I definitely recommend this if you want vivid descriptions that will make you imagine perfectly what is going on. This book plays out like a movie right before your eyes.
