the storms of fury takes place right after the snows of nissa, and duna is in hiding. staying hidden in the prince’s harem is proving to be quite the predicament. 👀 it doesn’t necessarily mean what one would expect!

we finally get to see more of cathal & duna. the smut was sooo good and i found myself wanting more from them — i wished to see them connect emotionally, but maybe that’s shown in book 3? 😗

THE CLIFFHANGER??? omg what!! i can’t wait for the next book!

if you’re looking for a strong warrior fmc and a stubborn + possessive mmc, this series is for you~

this book was so cute! 🥹 nora has just broken up with her boyfriend in LA and moves back home to denver where she meets andre.

this was a sloooow burn, but the best kind. they go from strangers to friends to lovers and the journey they go through is the cutest.

nora’s journey to becoming the happiest and best version of herself with andre’s help reminded me of myself. i’m so glad i was able to go along for the ride to see nora discover herself. i was such a fan of how respectful andre was and how he wanted her to be happy before even thinking about a relationship with her. 🥹

ima start out by saying this book emotionally wrecked me in the best way. 😭

this book follows maddie who has grown up her entire life being told what to do by her parents. to them, it didn’t matter what she wanted or needed. the book starts out with maddie attending her grandmother’s funeral. she discovers that her boyfriend is cheating, so she asks her aunt who is in town for the funeral, to stay with her in oregon.

small town vibes — she meets this amazing group of friends, but one of the guys, ezra, has been giving her a hard time. they end up hanging out more often and they fall in love. maddie’s mom manipulates her into leaving oregon for school and this book depicts mental health issues very well. sad to say that i very much related to maddie in this way.

i think i cried for an hour after i finished this book. 😀 10/10 recommend if you wanna cry at the club. it does have an HEA! i just wish we got to see more of ezra and maddie at the end of the book, but it gave me closure. 🥹 the writing was beautiful and these characters will stick with me for life!

this book includes:
spice
enemies to lovers
cheating (not done by MCs)
death

this is such a cute book! it follows jace who works undercover as a bounty hunter. he meets lucy purely by accident when “hunting” in new york.

jace is such a golden retriever, but he feels everything so differently than other MMC’s i’ve read about. it’s poetic the way he feels about lucy. 🥹

lucy is a painter by day and a smut author by night. since becoming roommates, jace’s team looks up everything there is to know about lu — including her wattpad-like book account where she posts the steamiest stories.

most of the book is in jace’s pov and i especially love when he’s reading lu’s writing on her “wattpad” account. it’s such a refreshing perspective to have most of the book written in the MMC’s pov.

i also loved the little touches when the author mentions san diego! love my town rep. 🫶🏻

this book includes:
secret identity
he falls first
virgin mmc
artsy fmc
roommates to lovers

this book follows demi, who’s been abused her entire life by her parents. she finally moved out and starts hanging around with her half brother (kaden) and his best friend (asher).

i loved seeing the friendship and romance blossom between demi and asher. 🥹 asher’s a fuckboy but becomes a reformed player after getting closer to demi and becoming friends. this book was so cute and best of all, no third act breakup!! you slowly start seeing their friendship unravel into becoming more.

asher’s relationship with his parents is complicated, and demi’s relationship with hers are basically nonexistent. i love how asher helps her overcome what she’s been through when she finally opens up and tells him what has happened her childhood. this was a sweet and funny (at times) read with darker themes. check TWs before reading!

this book includes:
spice
friends to lovers
tatted mmc (and he’s a tattoo artist!)
brother’s best friend
only one bed
she falls first
he falls harder
physical abuse on page
cancer mention

received an arc from stephanie archer for behind the net and i have no words!

rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

i loved this book so much, it was so cute! it does touch on darker subjects such as death, mental health, and an emotionally abusive relationship (not done by any of the main characters) — please make sure you’re in the right headspace to read about these topics.

i couldn’t book the book down! jamie & pippa are endgame. the way jamie helps pippa come out of her shell by encouraging her with her music! and the way pippa helps jamie with his mom!

jamie is a pro hockey player and pippa gets assigned to him as his assistant through the league. turns out that they went to the same high school! he’s 2 years older so they never really had the same classes, but she had a crush on him back then. turns out, he had a crush on her in high school too! when they meet again as hockey player and assistant, they both pretend not to know each other. you’re gonna have to read the rest to find out what happens. 👀

ugh i loved everything about this book and i can’t wait to read the next in the series.

this book includes:
spice
hockey romance
grumpy x sunshine
slow burn
forced proximity
sex coaching 👀
roommates

so glad i snagged an arc of blue film! thanks unalive promotions for sending this one to me. 🖤

rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

i first came across kitty king’s red night on kindle unlimited and i devoured that book! blue film is the second in her color series and i most definitely read it in one sitting.

this book follows levi & elle, who used to be childhood best friends turned enemies. levi bullied her because he had a crush on her and didn’t want any of his friends knowing. ugh boys. 🙄

when they head off to college, they both attend the same school and they meet again at a party. there’s so much going on in this book, it’s so action packed along with smut. 👀 i love how levi would do anything for elle now that he has her back. elle’s character growth in this book was amazing!

i do recommend reading red night first before reading blue film because you’ll see the same characters pop up. i cannot wait to read the next book in the color series! 😮‍💨

this book includes:
spice
childhood friends
childhood bully
daddy kink
praise kink
sugar babying
filming 👀

i received an arc from eliza peake and let me just say that while this is my first book i’ve read from her, it certainly won’t be my last!

the chemistry was off the charts between nate and charley! 🔥

charley throws a surprise birthday party for her best friend, megan. charley has to pick up megan’s older brother, nate, as a surprise since they haven’t seen each other in a while. nate’s a pro baseball player, so he’s rarely home and that’s how they’ve never met before. but charley & nate get to know each other at the birthday party. one thing leads to another and…. 😗👀

i’m normally not a fan of the accidental pregnancy trope but i didn’t mind it in this book! nate was so loving and so considerate after finding out about the pregnancy. it made my heart melt. 🥹

there are some darker themes mentioned in this book like drug abuse and death, but nothing descriptive on the pages.

i rated this a 3.75 because i wasn’t a fan of the insta lust at the beginning, but everything else was great!

favorite quotes:
“i lived life without you. and it was fucking miserable.”
“i want all versions of you, nate. the broken, the put together, the baseball legend, the guy who likes rocky road ice cream. they all make up the man i fell in love with. and i’ll only be happy if you’re with me.”
“marry me, firefly. make my heart whole. because my life just isn’t complete if you’re not in it.”
“we may have had an unexpected beginning, but now we’re in this love forever.”

this book includes:
spice
accidental pregnancy
insta lust
friends with benefits
age gap
baseball romance
best friend’s brother
small town romance

FMC was so annoying, complaining about every little mundane thing. i don’t even wanna read about them getting back together
