While it may not sound interesting, I found that this book was a very engaging and interesting read. I was inspired to read it to help myself improve my attention to detail and my quality of work. and I believe it will definitely do that.
I received this book as part of the course materials for a one-day Negotiation course offered by WinSETT (Women in Science, Engineering, Technology, and Trades). This book was extremely valuable in talking me through how negotiations work, common problems, and how to evaluate my own life and plan for negotiations. I've recommended it to nearly everybody I know who's looking for a new job as well as people looking for a raise. Also, while it is written for women, nearly all of the advice would also benefit men.
Very weird and wonderful. Ironically, CBC's Ideas was playing a 3-part series on psychoactive drugs while I was reading this, and they quoted Huxley a few times. I am very happy to finally have read this.
An odd book. This one will stick in my head for a while yet, as I come ro figure it out. The characters were engaging but secretive, and the whole book seemed like listening at eavestroughs.
I didn't have a favourite cookbook until I bought this one. Every recipe I've tried has been both relatively simple but super tasty.
I used to have a suspicion of budget cookbooks as a home for bland can-of-soup-type recipes, but Emily Wight manages to make simple, affordable, and delicious meals without straying into the processed food aisles.
A few of my favourites from the book
-Channa Masala (closest to authentic I've ever tasted)
-Peanutty Soba Noodles with Kale (super duper easy and so tasty)
-Delicata tacos with corn (squash tacos! Yum!)
I'd strongly recommend this book to everybody!
