A really interesting look at the different ways consumers have tried to use consumption as a tool for change and the successes and failures of each movement.

The Spin series by Robert Charles Wilson is an excellent series that is wrapped up very well by Vortex. Vortex takes place in a vastly different time and space than the previous two, and concludes the idea of the Hypotheticals and their impact on humanity in a way that is deep yet engaging. I'd strongly recommend this series to anybody who likes science-fiction.

I read this book in a day, and not because it is a short book. The book was a fascinating read that kept me engaged from page 1. It was fascinating for a number of reasons: the ethical implications of copied consciousness, which is the main conflict of the book, but I was also fascinated by Sawyer's forecast of the year 2045, as written from 2005.

Great book to re-read as an adult.

Amazing! This book offers a look at the future of our meat, fish, fruit, vegetables, and grains and how their growing and harvesting methods will have to change not just to preserve the environment, but to preserve true flavour and cultures as well.

This book is much shorter than I expected, but had a very similar impact on me as I, Robot, in that I realized it was a book that I realized I should have read sooner. The book was fascinating and so interesting I could hardly put it down.
