I was anticipating more detail, and quite honestly more gruesome detail. It was a succinct read, and I maybe didn't enjoy the narrative as much as anticipated. However, the fact that she did this as a young woman at that time was amazing, and made this worth the read. The illustration of her commitment to social justice, and resulting whistle blowing, made me glad to become familiar with this work. Overall, well worth the 2 hours is took to read.

April and her friend Andy become social media sensations when they are the first to discover an unusual monument that appeared out of nowhere in NYC.

I had heard this book compared to Ready Player One and for the first 100 pages was a little let down. However, strong midsection and finish as the book does take on that same solve the riddle/choose your own adventure feel that Ready Player One gives. All in all this book ended up being a smart, fun read and I am having a bit of a book hang-over since finishing. I want the fun back.

A man sneaks onto his neighbor's property, hunting out of season to feed his extended family, and shoots what he thinks is a wild boar. He soon realizes poaching and trespassing are not the most serious crimes he has committed when the boar turns out to be human.

This book was the perfect book at the perfect time for me. I loved the pace- ominous and waiting- without being overly gruesome. I also loved that "the woods" and backwoods life were almost like a character itself. I definitely look forward to reading more from this author.

This book was a little more dark and gory than the typical thriller I read. Definitely more "Silence of the Lamb" than "Gone Girl". It was my first book by this author. It was a book that hooked me right away and kept me turning the pages quickly. However there is nothing that stands out about it enough to recommend it to my friends.

I have read all of Taylor Jenkins Reid's previous books and truly appreciate her unique writing style. I honestly avoid the romance genre, but I so enjoy her smart writing. In each book she has provided a new twist to the standard love story.

Daisy Jones & the Six is no exception to this rule: it is written as an interview-style "rockumentary". Although I have talked to others who didn't like the format, I enjoyed it and again Reid takes a good story and elevates it to unforgettable with this unusual format.
