Mia has travelled from London to LA to try to make it big as an actress in Hollywood. Things start to unravel when she is the last person to see a young women named Emily alive. But then Emily shows back up, but she's nothing like Mia remembers. Is Mia losing her mind? Is there something more sinister at play?

AHH! I LOVE books like this. Books that keep you on your toes until the very end. Especially since Mia can be a little annoying. But I tried to give the girl a break. She just moved to America. She just found out her boyfriend is cheating on her. And she is linked to the disappearance of some girl she met. Sort of.

It's a tangled web that will keep you guessing. I wanted to threw my kindle a few times. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good mystery with some Hollywood drama thrown in.

Thanks for the arc, Netgalley!

I'm such a SallyHepworth fan. I loved "The Good Sister" and "The Mother-in-Law," so I was excited for this one. It definitely didn't disappoint!

The story starts with Dr. Stephen Aston is marrying is much younger wife, Heather, but the wedding is interrupted by his ex-wife. There is a scream and blood, then the story cuts to a year before.

Heather is meeting Stephen's daughters, and the story starts to unravel for the reader. We eventually catch up to the wedding, and then that ending. Oh that ending. I hated it. Just putting that out there.

Any story set in the 1960's is something worth reading to me. Add is a missing person and thriller, and I'm all over it!

Matt is 16 in Laguna Beach. It's 1968, and his sister Jazz hasn't shown up in a while. His brother is in Vietnam. His mom is in the drug scene. His dad isn't around. The cops aren't helpful. So Matt takes off to find his sister himself.

I enjoyed taking this trip with Matt, even as my heart broke for him. This is a story I won't soon forget.

This book uncovered the truth of "Go Ask Alice" and "Jay's Journal." I remember reading those books as a teen and being so shocked at what "Alice" went through. To know that these were simply works of fiction is even more troubling.

Emerson does an amazing job of showing how America was during the 1970's and 1980's. His extensive research really shines through as he uncovers the lies and shows the effects that Beatrice Sparks' had on the criminalization of drugs.

I don't read non-fiction often, but this one was something I won't soon forget!

It's Christmas time again in Mistletoe, Maine, and things are going well for Holly. Unfortunately, that means it's time for another murder. This time, all fingers point to Holly's friend Caroline.

Holly and everyone in Mistletoe work to clear Caroline's good name. Holly also is trying to spend sometime with her cop boyfriend.

I love Jacqueline Frost's Christmas Tree Farm Mysteries. This one definitely brought some cheer to my hot summer days!

Thanks for the arc, Netgalley!

Angie Turner has made a name for herself and her restaurant with her fresh from the farm food. Unfortunately, a soybean processing plant is trying to buy the land around her small farm. While Angie is struggling with the decision of whether to sell the farm that's been in her family for generations, or not sell and deal with all that comes with being surrounded by the plant, the wife of the lawyer heading up the development goes missing. And unfortunately for Angie, she is drug into the investigation.

If you love small towns, cozy mysteries, and big does, this is the book for you!

Thanks for the arc, Netgalley!

This book was faced-paced, gritty, and rough. It has an escaped serial killer, a newly-released convicted who committed a murder as a child, and a US Marshal who is trying to find a link between them.

I did not want this book to end! It was so good. I haven't read a thriller like this in a long time!

Wow. This book was a trip from the beginning to the cliffhanger! Caroline and Susanne have this amazing ability to draw readers into a story, then leave them on a killer cliffhanger. I’d be more mad, but I’m too big of a fan!

Rogue has had a tough go of it. The book starts with her in a grave. Literally. Then she drinks a milkshake, adopts a dog, catches up with old friends, makes some new ones, and manages to get herself into trouble. I love this girl!

Those Harlequin boys are something else. Fox the daddy’s boy, JJ the sex machine, and Chase the butt-munch. I went back and forth between loving and hating them. I’m sure that will continue through the rest of the series.

I’m diving into book 2. Wish me luck!

Well, I’m in love with Maverick. Even though he’s not a good guy. He’s not as bad as Shawn. Stupid Shawn. We hate Shawn. Luther also redeemed himself in this one. Surprisingly. He just wants his family back together. It can’t be easy being a father and the head of a gang. Just saying.

Rogue is still kicking butt and taking name. I love how she manages to sneak out of Harlequin house, even with the armed guards. And I’m a strong supporter of a woman’s right to choose. Or not to choose, in Rogue’s case.

The Twisted Sister’s know how to write a sex scene. The spicy parts are impeccable. The cliffhanger was worse this time though.

And Chase needs a hug. Even though he tried to screw over Rogue.

I love fairy tale retellings, so this story was right up my alley. This is the fourth book in the Fairy Tale Quartet Series, but it's the first one I've read.

It follows Camille as Red Riding Hood and Brick as The Big Bad Wolf. Camille is a reporter, and she stumbles upon a huge story involving Brick. She tries to blackmail him for an exclusive story. The sparks fly between them, which makes so some nice spicy scenes!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
