I’m a true crime podcast addict, so this book was right up my alley. The story followed Elle as she followed the Countdown Killer case. The story was full of twists and turns. You see Elle start to fall apart, and then you find out why this case is so close to her heart.

There were a few parts that I feel like could have either been expanded on or just left out.

If you like true crime, this is the book for you!

I’ve been a fan of Riley Sager for a while, but this one missed the mark for me. It was definitely creepy, but it took a weird turn.
Charlie’s best friend dies, and she decides to leave school early. She catches a ride with a stranger, and odd coincidences keep happening. The person who is set up as the killer turns out to be a red herring, which was unexpected.
Overall, it was a fun trip, but it wasn’t my favorite Sager book. The way Charlie’s mental disorder was depicted didn’t sit well with me, either.

Now it's Sky and Hail's turn! Their connection is dark and painful and toxic, but also beautiful and steamy and leaves you wanting more. This book gave the reader more about the history and childhoods of Deluge, and how they got where they are today. I love a good cult story, and this one definitely fit the bill.

CA Rene knows what she is doing with the Sacrificial Lamb series. I couldn't put this book down, and I can't wait for the next book in the series!
