Survive the Night
by Riley Sager
I’ve been a fan of Riley Sager for a while, but this one missed the mark for me. It was definitely creepy, but it took a weird turn.
Charlie’s best friend dies, and she decides to leave school early. She catches a ride with a stranger, and odd coincidences keep happening. The person who is set up as the killer turns out to be a red herring, which was unexpected.
Overall, it was a fun trip, but it wasn’t my favorite Sager book. The way Charlie’s mental disorder was depicted didn’t sit well with me, either.
