Reluctantly Yours

I put this down for a day and I can't be asked to pick it back up. We get it she's petite and he loves that she's petite; he's big and she loves that he's big. The size difference features more than the plot.

I couldn't care less.

Once again bookstagram cannot be trusted also why did the cat have a POV...

This was something... and not in a good way.

Elise was a dumb af FMC, ridiculously childish and unaware of anything besides herself; a do first think later kinda heroine. Like it had a political thrilleresque side-plot, and throughout the whole thing, Elise made stupid choice after stupid choice. She annoyed me, and I think it could've been better without her. The MMCs were goodish but stealing is wrong; Gabe, in my opinion, was a tad bit obsessive and should probably go to therapy like Tobias.

The writing... was stupid at times... like word for word this is something Elise says: "There's something inside me I'm supposed to give you. There's something inside of you that you're supposed to give me. Don't you feel that?" Like I have read all types of romance, and this was one of the worst I have read this year. And don't get me started on the insta-love that was happening.

I gave it two stars because I actually finished it but I cannot with this.

It's finally over, those last 200 pages really tested me.

Another example of why you can't trust bookstagram.

Wild Ride of a Hot Mess. Hated every minute.

Book #274 of 2022 and possibly my last book of October. Just met my reading goal... time to extend it?

Anything would be better than trying to finish this.

TBH it felt like a grind to get through but I liked it enough.
