A cute middle-grade book for when you're feeling a little lonely. It is excellent at conveying the struggles people face and how rewarding acceptance can be. Handles the struggles of homophobia and transphobia in such a magnificent way and provided a more realistic conclusion. Perfect for anyone who feels isolated and needs a little pick me up. I was crying and laughing while staring at beautiful artwork. 

I loved this book, I could not put it down. The mystery, the flashback interludes to the past, the whole thing was incredible. I was constantly on the edge of my seat!

I love how seamless the tie-in to the next mystery after Stevie solved the Ellingham case was. The series didn't drag on her solving the case throughout all of the books and it honestly makes me even more excited for the next book! Even though the central mystery of the past has been solved Stevie still has the option to figure out where the men Marsh hired took Alice so we can still be immersed in the 1930s while she solved the murder of Dr. Fenton.

  The writing is incredible, the story is gripping, and I am running to my nearest bookstore to grab anything with Maureen Johnson's name on it! 

What a beautiful collection of poetry! I cried so many times, there were lots of very relatable feelings and unreliable situations the collection covers it is truly magnificent. I am fascinated by poetry and this book is no different, being able to feel what the author feels and be in situations with them is such a powerful artform and will always be one of my favorites. 

This book was perfect in almost every way. If I wasn't gasping I was laughing or crying. Heartless is full of twists and turns much like the path to Wonderland. Catherine is a character you want to root for even though you know how the story will end. Her determination to change her fate drives the book and makes you not want to put it down!

This graphic novel is charming! It has a great plot that, as a member of the alphabet mafia, had me relating to many feelings and actions of the mc Morgan. The girl from the sea deals with the struggles of coming out and being scared to feel different then everyone else in a very lighthearted and entertaining way. The novel dealt with genuine issues but the cute graphics and fantastical elements made the issues an easier pill to swallow. I will absolutely recommend this book due to its validating storyline for many members of the LGBT+ community. For nothing else, you need to read this graphic novel because of the incredible art! 

The story was incredible, the characters were lovable, it was all I could've wanted in a book and more.

I love how we see multiple POVs from other seemingly random people that eventually come together to form a cohesive interwoven storyline. Seeing how Mateo and Rufus's actions affect others, seemingly extras and background characters, in the book really immersed me into the storyline. Pulling back the curtain and showing what the reader just witnessed the MCs do from a bystander's perspective is such an incredible form of storytelling I did not know I needed until this book.

I laughed, I cried, It was truly a rollercoaster of emotions I would recommend to anyone! The diverse cast of characters and characteristics lends every reader the opportunity to relate to some character in one way or another.

All I can say is, wow. This graphic novel was so much better than I was expecting. The description sounded interesting so I decided to pick it up but I was not prepared for the whirlwind of emotions that would befall me by the end of the novel.
I would absolutely recommend this to anyone, the characters are lovable, the plot is exciting, and the art is simply fantastic.
