I loved this story so much. I'm not huge on contemporary books, but this was so lighthearted and beautifully written. I loved the love interests and seeing how Hadley grew from the beginning of the book till the end. If you need something sweet and warm to read, this is definitely the story. I have a full review on my blog, so check out the link in my bio. :)

All I'll say is I loved this book. It was beautifully written with amazing characters, great dialogue, and a plotline that was engaging. It's truly a unique story with a brilliant setting and it leaves you starving for the sequel. I highly recommend you pick this book up. A full review will be on my blog soon, so check out the link in my bio if you want to know more.

I absolutely loved this collection of Grisha fairytales. Being able to see Leigh Bardugos take on stories like Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, etc. was quite interesting, especially with everything being set in her magical Grisha world. In the Author's Note, she talks about writing the stories how they would have been told to the main characters in both her Shadow and Bone and Six of Crows series and how these tales would have shaped each of their beliefs. I just adored the whimsical and dark edges to each of these recreated fairytales.

If you're a fan of Leigh Bardugo or of fairytales in general, this is definitely a collection you should pick up. You don't need to know the other two series to read it (this is actually my first Leigh Bardugo book), but I'm sure having that knowledge would make the experience even better.

This is one of the first books I picked up after my long reading slump and WOW did it reawaken my love for reading. Stephanie Garber grabs hold of her readers in this enchanting story of a young girl named Scarlett attending a magical performance known as Caraval where the guests can participate in the games. The winner gets one impossible wish granted, but there is more at stake in this magical game than just one wish. Upon arriving at the island where the performance is held, Scarlett's younger sister, Tella, goes missing and it turns out whoever wins this year's game not only gets the wish but Tella too. Now Scarlett has to race to find her sister and win the game or lose the only real family she has left.

Caraval is whimsical, magical, the world a vivid kaleidoscope of rich colors. It pulls you in and keeps you there, just as much as the game of Caraval does its contestants. But there is one rule to remember in this magical world - don't forget it's only a game. This story is perfect for fans of Alice in Wonderland and Night Circus. It's filled with danger, two-faced love interests, and dark secrets lurking around every corner.

This graphic novel is so beautifully illustrated with a story that is masterfully constructed. Frances and Sebastian are absolute dolls. I love how Jen Wang was able to portray such a meaningful relationship between friends and family and express an acceptance that will change history. If you want a fun and light-hearted story with amazing characters and important moral lessons, this is the story for you.
