3.5/5 Liked it. Didn’t love it. The mom and Uncle Duncan weren’t fully formed to me but ESPECIALLY the mom. Intrigued to see where the story goes.

4.5/5 SUCH A GOOD SEQUEL! Much better at the romance aspect this time around (mainly because it only came in at the VERY end and wasn't the focus of the book AT ALL). A lot of twists and turns that worked really well. Smart writing on Shusterman's part. Ended with a great cliff hanger. Can't wait to get my hands on the final installment!

MUCH BETTER! This is the rising action I've been waiting for!
