Good God I fucking love this series! I find myself laughing out loud multiple times and connecting with every one of the queens. This series is the perfect combination of fantasy, action, humor, sex, teamwork, and personal struggles. I've never flown through a series quite like this before.

5/5! I loved this book so so much. While I tend to think of myself as a Natasha when it comes to epic love stories that happen in the span of a few days or less, Yoon has turned me into a Daniel, a believer. Heart-breakingly beautiful. There was one strange segment that wasn't Natasha or Daniel that was in first person POV which was a little unsettling but in the grand scheme of things, that would have made this book too perfect. If I was a highlighter-reader, this book would be blanketed in neon yellow capturing the poetic passages that read like little pieces of magic. Yoon's construction is so wonderfully crafted; I see myself reading this one again and again. While I enjoyed Everything, Everything, TSIAAS is something special. What a difference a day makes.

4.5/5. A compelling read. Odd that this and Stranger Things came out in the same year because there are some eerily similar images. Also a lot of similar images between this, Y: The Last Man, and Saga. I'd be interested to see if somehow they're all connected!

A healthy mix of "sad boy" poems and love poems. I feel like this collection skims the surface of what's inside John's brain. Some very striking selections and a few I wasn't too crazy about. BUT art is subjective so if you really love JO/The Maine, this is worth checking out.

0/5 Who in the world is rating this book above 1 star? This is a horrendous attempt at story-telling. The back and forth timeline is disorienting and not in a purposeful crafty way--it's just bad. Gallagher uses so much verbose syntax that it kills any feeling of Spike as a character. Even his asides taken directly from the show feel two dimensional. This was a struggle to get through for only 240 pages. I'm so sorry I wasted money on this drivel. I couldn't even tell you the plot of this story other than it's short anecdotes smashed together to make...something attempting to mimic a story?

This volume is really reminiscent of the Kamala we met in Volume 1. We see more of the teenage girl coming into her own as an inhuman superhero. My love for the Kamala-Bruno dynamic has really intensified. And Wilson really knows her audience; she's including rhetoric that a younger generation can subtly ingest while those of us with experience ("friend zones," rape culture) can readily recognize the important messages she's instilling in young people. The only reason I gave this 4/5 stars is heavily reliant on the odd, semi-out of place final issue in the volume. It's a S.H.I.E.L.D./Ms. Marvel crossover and it seems to disrupt Kamala's story in order to promote another series. Overall, still a fantastic series.

3.5/5 I enjoyed Monster. I like the twist on traditional YA narrative by putting it in script and journal format. Nice insight to Steve as a character. Good plot and execution of suspense. Definitely couldn't put this down the closer we got to a verdict.

4.5/5. Not a huge fan of Harmony's random appearance in the first half, but Daddy Issues and the other surprise guests from BtVS were great.

3.5/5 Not sure how I really feel about this one quite yet. However, I certainly feel like we harped WAY too much on the "what can't we face if we're together" theme. I thought the story was going to end five times because Buffy kept going back to the "we're a team; we can do anything!" speech. But, Buffy has never been perfect when it comes to season openers so I'm hoping that this is just typical exposition fumble for season 10.

Fuck this book. It's boring and poorly written. One moment of real action and then no conclusion. Fuck. This. Book.
