Second book I tried by her and I just don't mesh with her writing style. Alas!!!!
I made the mistake of looking at reviews part-way into reading this. Came for Mike, but struggled to get past the hotel scenes. I enjoyed the challenge of understanding the language and politics introduced, but there were a few parts of the story that were giving me the "ick" -- reviews seem to indicate they will continue to be a problem the deeper I go.
May give it another go in the future, but for now there are other books I want to prioritize.

The reason for the third act breakup was so non-sensical and completely dragged out in the last 25%. Fun to start but messy and incomprehensible at the end (and not in a good way).
This book is sugar sweet. The romance is a little insta-lovey, but it's told in a way where I am completely sold. Highly recommend if you're into stories where the love interests keep showing up for one another and pushing each other to be their best.
not quite 5 stats because there's a little too much smut for my taste, i don't mind it usually but like girl it was so repetitive
For a woman who has a history of financial insecurity, girl makes a LOT of questionable decisions when it comes to her livelihood. This story is as basic as they come: phone-obsessed girl goes to the woods and realizes she doesn't feed to facetune everything to be appreciated. You knew exactly where the story was going, but I don't think it did enough to make that journey anything special.
Listen y'all, I'm a sucker for single dads AND cowboys, but something about this just didn't quite hit for me. I struggled to really connect with the character voices -- I know they were meant to be sassy and sarcastic, but I had to force my brain to read them that way. Slightly disappointing but still fun. <3
