This book started off with a lot of promise, but ultimately suffered from the characters having zero personality outside of their co-writing relationship. The prose was beautiful, but suffered from a lot of repetition in gratuitous love declarations, talking about how amazing each of them are as writers, etc.
If you like books with effusive language and flowery romance, this might be up your alley.

I almost DNF'd this due to how unbelievably unprofessional and weirdly misandrist the female lead was once Noa's identity was revealed. I am in full support of protagonists being toxic and wrong, but her reaction was so out of left field and I wish it was treated with more care, since the author left a lot unexplored in that aspect of their relationship.
Overall, very trope-y and forgettable.

The fanfiction tropes in this book are shining bright, but this read was so much fun that I could overlook a lot of the clichés that had me rolling my eyes. The banter, the chemistry, and the slow relationship building accomplished in this is top tier. Super indulgent, super fun, and super fuckin cheesy -- definitely a book I'd pick up again at the end of a bad day.

Re-read of an old favourite! This is overall a solid read.
I wish there was more time dedicated to building the romance between Marlena and Jacob, to make this feel less like insta-love, but their bond seems fairly reasonable given shared interests between them. I really appreciate the level of care given towards the setting and the time period, that really is what made this book shine for me.
Glad I picked it up again!

This had so much promise and so many great elements, but ultimately is dragged down by a reliance on misunderstanding tropes to drive the conflict. I have never seen such an (unbelievably) obtuse character in my life, especially for one who seems to be so competent elsewhere. Huge disappointment. :(

A collection of fun stories. Float Out and Downtime are my personal standouts.

I loved seeing familiar characters again but I felt like some of the humanity and charm from the show didn't translate well to the pages here.
Fun but not overly compelling.
