I really enjoyed this! The book (to me) was less about the romance and more about the town, the bakery, legal issues, social commentary, queerness sprinkled all over, which I enjoyed.
It probably says something about my state of mind as much as the writing, but I could feel the tenseness of the situation in my body while reading. Would recommend this book to others!

(also, ace rep aw yeah!)

Very enjoyable sequel to 'Tea'. It was nice to see the characters a few years on, see how things had developed further and what new challenges they faced. The way the passing of a loved one with a degenerative disease was handled, in terms of the feelings around it, was very realistic. The way mental health was handled in both of these books was also really well done (in my opinion :P).
Chris and John are very cute together, and it was a joy to read more about them.

I would like to remind everyone who reads this book that soap is meant for external use only :P

I really enjoyed the worldbuilding, as well as the plot itself. It's one of those books where I feel like I need to read it again, just so I can get all subtle details as well. It doesn't help that I took a break of reading this for a week or two, which made me forget some details.

Maybe in a year or so I will take a look through my reviews of the past years and actually go reread all books where I've said I wanted to reread.

I really enjoyed this book a lot. It has stories in many different genres, with very diverse interpetations of the theme 'magic pens' and also very diverse characters and settings.
There's a very clear list of content warnings for people who need those, located at the end of the book so as not to spoil people who don't, overall very considerate I think! :D Some heavy themes are mentioned or talked about, and this way everyone can decide what they are up for.
I was never really someone who reads shortstories or anthologies, but books like these are changing that!

This book was a bit heavier than I expected, and to me it could have used a bit more fluffy happy stuff at the end of the book.

Cute, schmoopy, snowy, tropey... Yep, perfect holiday material :D

Love the comic, love ending, love Shitty's name.
