tanouska's Reviews (589)

I had this on my 'currently reading' shelf for a year and three months, so today I decided it was time to actually read it and have that shelf clear up a bit. I've seen the movie a few years ago, so the story wasn't much of a surprise, but it was still a fun read ^^

I liked this, though I also wish it had been longer :D Since it's a series though, I'll just have to buy the next part at some point. I liked the worldbuilding, though I also would have loved to see more of it all. The peeks we got were interesting enough to make me want to know more.
The fact that there's a diverse 'cast' and ace and trans characters also made me glad.

4/5 might be unfair, maybe it was 5/5 but o stopped reading halfway through and only picked it up again after more than a month. Probably more to do with my lack of focus, but I don't know. :p really do want to read on now though!

20th of november might seem a bit early for a Christmas story, but today was cold, dreary and dark, so basically Christmas weather, right? This story is nice, feel-good fluffiness and perfect for a day like this, so I would advice anyone in need of something to make a dreary day feel warmer to buy this and read it, cause yes. Day better, Tessa warmed :P

(I'm bad at in-depth reviews, but the characters are nice, Abby is cute and now I really want some snow.)

This was a fun read. I was impressed how much of the lives of the characters were put in the single-day-chapters, without it feeling like an infodump.
Having friends with the same hobby/profession as the main character made this even more fun to read, very relatable.

Short but sweet :) Could have easily read a few more k of this, even though it does feel complete.
(I bought a few books/short stories from the winter-holidays-collection that 9starpress made, which I found because a friend of mine wrote one of them, so expect a few more fluffy wintery romance stories in my reviews in the coming weeks :P )

This was a nice story and I enjoyed the little descriptions that indicated the era this took place in. (Like the billowing skirts when someone is kneeling down).

Tiny tiny spoiler that might not even be a real spoiler below this, so mind yourself if you haven't read this yet:

The writer must know a nurse or two, because that gleam in the eyes of a nurse when getting the chance to look at a 'nice wound' is just too real :P
