I enjoyed Blood Debts; however, I didn't like a character was introduced and given whole chapters only to not do anything with him. It is all lead up to the next book. And the ending was kinda open ended. I figured earlier that angle the plot was going, but it only did a quiet reveal of it then ended. I was left wanton, without a sequel in hand. Poo. All that, but the book was entertaining, had interesting magic systems, political intrigue, racism, southern heritage, family dysfunction, action, and violence. Great messages about respecting your ancestors and Gods. Good book, but don't recommend reading unless you have the second book handy. Oh, and can we off Valentina, please!

Animal Farm is all that is wrong in politics. I remember reading this is in school and not being able to associate the political or socialist nature of the book. As an adult, rereading I thoroughly enjoy it and get it now. Such manipulation and gas lighting is an understatement. Great quick read. The full cast audio book is well done.

Lady Killer is a fun gorey time of woman's empowerment in a man dominated world of assassination. Who says women can't have it all. And that husband is so clueless, but at least he is supportive of her independence in a time when most men would not be. Loved it.

The GrownUp was so good, and unique. Lots of twists that I didn't know what to think. I mean the con(s) were definitely one for the books. I will say that if someone tells me they have carpel tunnel, I will definitely look at them side eyed.

Hunt is a simply written story that moves at a fast pace with no major twists. Also finally a story with shape shifters that's not smut, but instead kicking some butt. I enjoyed it and wished it was longer. I did not like the long author forward and afterword. It seems like overkill in the author wanting to tell her own story. Book ends at 95% when we could have had more story. Good start to a series for the sibling pair.

I enjoyed F*ck Love. Entertaining drama filled story with not too much foul language (just enough for urban trap fiction). The club scene was wild for sure. Cory pissed me off several times and I don't think is worth Asha's time but I will let her make it since she love him. I would have told him to kick rocks on more than a number of occasions in this book. Not to go into detail, but he claim she took advantage of him when they had sex. Boy bye! A few things didn't breed realism in the book, but overall a decent fast paced quick read. And I absolutely hate the cover. She looks like a blow up doll.

Victor and Nora is a cute love story and I enjoyed it. I was thrown off by Victor's age because he is a scientist and Nora is 16. It was halfway through the book before it was stated he is 17. Why is a 17 year old working so hard on serious scientific experiments in a lab. Also Nora came on strong to Victor in the beginning. Too strong for her age. And it seemed there was something she knew about him in the beginning that was going to be revealed. Like she knew him. I was confused. The graphics were great, and Nora is beautiful and that hair is gorgeous in every shot. Loved the science talk too. I learned about decomposition and now I can't get it out of my head.

All the Rage is unhinged. Violence, gord, sex assault, cussing, troubling characters, and murder. Not for the faint of heart. The mystery surrounding the reason for the ragers was never given so that sucks. I would have liked for that to be explained. Nathan and Ashley have such traumatic back stories which are interesting yet disturbing to read. The world is a dangerous place filled with horrible people. Watch yourselves.

Alpha Crusher feels like it is written by a white person. Black woman washing hair in shower then immediately going to bed is a good example. Ward out the gate seems to have ADD with business, is impulsive and sexist, appears to have a black woman fetish, and says something racist upon meeting her. All that said, Mira ate it up like a sandwich. Make it make sense. And what's up with fawning all over Joe? Good plot though. Good showing of strong dominant characters, I think Mira and Ward both have unhealthy tendencies. I did like the villain, although it is easily deciphered. Overall this book was fast paced, cheesy, lacking in execution, and very much white washed. Sexy time was nice. The first sex scene was so odd though. And I didn't feel the chemistry at all.

I loved You Brought me the Ocean. The diverse cast, the mysterious markings, romance, and all the secrets. And Kenny is cute. Love it and wouldn't mind a sequel.
