Pretty Deadly was not my thing.  Graphics were too dark and busy that I didn’t understand a lot of them.  And also the story line was confusing.  I will not be continuing the series.

To Kill a Mockingbird was required reading in my school long ago.  Reading as an adult I can appreciate more now.  That said, it has lots of racism which still exists today.  Also it shows how much of that racism and hatred is passed down through generations. While I am not excited by how it ended, It was very fitting.

Tell Me I’m Worthless is not my cup of tea.  It was too disjointed for me.  It’s a novel about people haunted by a house, then the next it’s an essay about the British government, fascism, and transexual rights.  I was confused through much of the book.  And all the talk of sex was off putting. 

I can tell Fine Print is written by a dude.  Lots of over voluptuous beautiful white women doing each other on almost every page.  At least the plot was decent.  It is confusing at times, but come s together in the end.  Leaves on a cliff hanger. 

Normandy Gold was wild. I love when a character gets into the trenches to seek revenge. Normandy woke up and chose violence.   Oh and I love all the characters are molded after real actors.  The one character, you can clearly see Robert Redford.  Good time.

Land of Milk and Honey had a good plot, had decadent, lush descriptions, but I felt bored quite often.  It didn’t have the payout that I expected.  Good psychological profile of the character and the world.  It has good meanings/themes, just expect a slow ride to get there.  I would like my time back that I wasted reading this book

Snotgirl Vol 3 adds in more characters for hilarity and a mystery.  I liked Lottie's sister for the bad drama filled girl she is.  Love it.  And Lottie needs to get herself together.  

Snotgirl Vol 2 continues the hilarity with some paranormal activity thrown in.  You see more insecurities in not just Lottie but her friends as well.  And the douche bag OMG.  I wanted to punch him.  Misty (or should I say Minnie) is a riot.  Love it.  Next volume. 

Snotgirl Vol 1 is a hilarious millenial good time. Plot is suspenseful, interesting, and moves quick.  At times the quick transition is confusing.  If you love social media, this book is spot on how people are obsessed with online influencers.  All these girls are judgemental, shallow , horrible friends and completely opposite their online images of perfection.  Very much social commentary on real life influencers. I loved Hater's Brunch too. Images are quite beautiful, although Lottie is definitely over sexed.  There was not as much snot or allergy disruptions as I expected, so that was disappointing.  Definitely continue the series.  

The Poisons We Drink reminds me of Blood Debts with social and political targeting of naturally gifted people that possess magic and wanting to register to control them.  The quest for power is strong throughout this entire book.  Book was also packed full of magic that was thoroughly explained.  And how it was used and recoil was definitely unique.  Although the rhyming of the spells was cheesy.  Also there were tons of characters.  I kinda got lost in who was who at times and their connections.  I really liked the sisterly bond between Venus and Janus.  Something to admire that even though they bicker, they still have each other back.  Overall, a nice witchy read. #netgalleyarc
