Lusty Spirits is a quick sexy ghost interaction.  There could be some problematic elements, but all in all a good time.

Train Bound to Forty was a cute story.  The cheesy cutesy cuss words at the beginning annoyed me, but the old school statements like "black don't crack" brought me back.  The book was heartfelt and the interactions between Jareth and Flora were beautiful.  There's some plot holes for me too, but overall a great story.

A Map to the Sun is about friends old and new and family, flaws and all.  I enjoyed the book with lots of relatable dialogue.  The colors at time were hard to read through.

Squire was a good time.  A girl wants to be a hero and do better for her family then realizes she has to be a sell out to do so.  Par for the course,I'd say.  Book was all too real about the reality of war and the decisions everyone must ultimately make.  Well done.  Enjoyed the subtle comedy as well.

The Witch's Wings and Other Terrifying Tales was a quick fun time.  Just as in the book, it would make for good campfire tales.

Blackheart Man has some admirable ideals in the community, like verbal passing on knowledge contained in books in case they are lost.  I also loved how the community worked together.  The book itself was slow and I struggled to finish, so thank you to audio for pushing me along.  Story itself was a good one, but I was lost a lot and didn't understand everything about the gods/witches.  Also that s*x scene came out of nowhere but was wild.  Overall, this book was just OK for me and I am happy I read it.

Rivers Solomon knows how to get you thinking. Model Home is no exception. It definitely isn't what I thought it would be, but that ending kept dropping dimes that I did not expect.  Book itself has lots of side commentaries about racism, sexuality, classism, family bonds and trauma.  I can't say I understand everything that was presented, but I enjoyed the book.  Speaks some real truths in an entertaining story.  Definitely think outside the box.

Give Her Credit showcases some remarkable pioneers in women's financial independence. Most I had never heard of.  It not only tells the story of how these women came together to create something for women, by women, but also gives a biography of each woman.  It pissed me off to hear of the sexist practices these women were subjected to by men.  Glad progress has occurred.  It just double downs that women need to rely on other women, because men are not always an ally. History tells the true story.

Stalked to the Altar : A Dark Mafia Romance was definitely dark; Silas has some problems and I was so sad by what Eden went through.  Book did not shy away from trauma.  I like out the gate this book started wild and kept the momentum.  It is a fun quick read with several shockers, but it does have a few plot holes and could use an edit.  But overall I thoroughly enjoyed.

Great story full of history, hard truths about racism,  mystery, sexiness, twists and heart.  You will definitely connect with Jeremy and Ebony. Book could use an edit, but good story nonetheless. Definitely recommend.
