Oh so silly!
Enjoyable, but how not that memorable? I've seen the play multiple times and now read it, and still all I can picture is She's the Man. hm.
Heartbreaking in its portrayal of a character so desperate for love that all he can do is destroy. Aaron adeptly reveals Thanos’ motivation without trying to make him too sympathetic. Very well done.
I have such mixed feelings!! I thought the writing was really thought-provoking, but I hated David Lurie so much. I can only hope that Coetzee isn't as disgustingly selfish, rude, and misogynistic as his main character.
I'm going to go hug my dogs now.

I appreciated this play for the action, but I wished there had been more of a focus on characterization. Many of the characters felt flat to me, and the in medias res first act prevented the fleshing out of the characters in the exposition. Not my fave Shakespeare play by far.
