The first time I saw this book, I thought it would be dumb and so I refused to read. Well, it turns out that I was dumb and the book is great. Libba Bray writes great satire and as a person who loves satire and black humor this book was right up my alley. Highly recommend.
Re-read update: Still love this book. It touches on a patriarchal society while still being hilarious! It's hard not to love Libba Bray's brutal honesty about womanhood and capitalism.

While I did not enjoy this as much as the original Harry Potter series, I thoroughly enjoyed this book (or script). I found the storyline to be engaging, and appreciated seeing the adulthood of some of my most beloved characters. I recommend this to anyone who has read Harry Potter.
I enjoyed this book and I think Rodriguez's writing allows you to feel his alienation-- specifically, the alienation he felt while being educated and the dichotomy between him and his family. Read for Intermediate Creative Writing: Creative Non-Fiction
Interesting content; I expected a slave/captivity narrative and while I did receive that, Truth also chooses to highlight her walk with God and the highs and lows of her faith in Christ.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Highly recommend.
Absolutely love this novel! Umminger perfectly creates the voice of Anna and let's us see the world through her eyes as she discusses the meaning of family, friendship, and the Manson girls.
This graphic novel is absolutely fantastic. Spiegelman effortlessly weaves his father's Holocaust experience with the story and characterization of their own relationship. When reading this, focus on how Spiegelman portrays all of the people in his life, understand these relationships, because really, I found this book to strangely touch on human nature and familial relationships in a way I did not expect. Highly Recommend.
Interesting novel dealing with the honesty, structure. and selling of stories. Multi-layered with a lot to discover. Definitely want to re-read. Recommend.
Can't really describe my feelings on this book, but it is an important piece of Queer YA Lit. I highly recommend this, and thank you to CW (readthinkponder) for making me read it!
Interesting look at the role of religion in Elizabethan-London. Could be read as both an atheistic drama and a drama encouraging the Christian faith. Obvious to see why this was controversial at the time, and after reading it becomes quite clear as to why Marlowe chose to write a revision which lessens the effects of his atheistic text.
