This graphic novel is absolutely fantastic. Spiegelman effortlessly weaves his father's Holocaust experience with the story and characterization of their own relationship. When reading this, focus on how Spiegelman portrays all of the people in his life, understand these relationships, because really, I found this book to strangely touch on human nature and familial relationships in a way I did not expect.
