Really liked finally reading all of this stories of that we had mentions of in the other books in this series. While this is not my favorite of the four that are currently published, it was definitely a good read. I read the first half of this before Queen of Shadows and the second half after I finished QOS, however, I would recommend reading it after Crown of Midnight or Heir of Fire because some of the characters and situations from this book come back in Queen of Shadows. Interestingly, I think that this book could also be read as the first book in the series. In my opinion, it tells one story of the events before Throne of Glass.

I wanted to like this book as much as the previous one, especially because I have a much better understanding of Welsh mythology, but it just is not my favorite of the first two. Definitely enjoy this series and the characters enough to continue on with the next one.

Definitely enjoyed this book for how informative it is and how much it challenged my view and misconceptions of God's attributes. However, parts of it seemed boring and repetitive, but that good just be me. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to better understand the attributes of God or has questions about God's character.

I really loved this novel. Darnielle's writing is reminiscent of our own thoughts- you find yourself inside the mind of Sean, desperately wishing that he would explain what happened.

SO GOOD. CS Lewis is the man. Highly recommend this book and I really enjoyed the perspective it gave, definitely inspired me to pray more specifically for the lives of others and my own life. 10/10 would recommend.

Becky Albertalli's YA novel is so fresh and wonderful, everyone should read this. The characters were so lovable and I rooted for Simon through it all. I highly, highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
