Entertaining writing but the shoehorned political bits were really off putting.
I really didn’t like Southern Book Club, so I was nervous going into this. Luckily it was way more fun (and genuinely more disturbing) than I was expecting. It’s a really fun and interesting exploration of family trauma and dynamics. If you have siblings, this one will hit home for you.
A great mixture of clear advice and personal stories from an author who’s been there. The chapter about sex was the only one that felt a little too specific to Allison’s life for me to relate to. This book has really made me rethink how I approach dating.
LOVED the format/framing device where all of the stories led into one another.
Rachel Harrison does it again. She's an auto-buy author for me at this point.
