I wanted to love this. ACOTAR has throne me down a major fantasy spiral, and while I'm loving it, I didn't LOVE this book. Which is weird, because I remember really loving it the first time I read it?

I guess my issue is:
I love a good enemies to lovers, but there wasn't any of that even though people say there is?? Cardan really just seems to straight up HATE Jude and there isn't really any sort of romantic finale/conclusion. I know this wasn't advertising itself as a romance, but like...other people were? I don't know.

Also, I'm sorry, I can't get past the tail.

I wish the world felt bigger. There's all this talk about Faerie existing inside pockets of the mortal realm, but the kingdom itself just feels too small and secluded. I did enjoy the sheer variety of species (for lack of a better word) included.
