I dont even know where to begin with how wonderful I found this book to be. At first I struggled with Charlie's character, but eventually I grew to appreciate her as much as the other characters in the book.

I'm additionally enamored with the author's astounding ability to blend unknown reality with beautiful fiction. Whether you're traditionally a fan of historical fiction or not, this book is a must read - especially if you live for badass heroines and chins that say "I don't care".

I'm...not sure where I'm at with this one. Listening to the audiobook was preferable, I think, and it was certainly powerful. I just feel like I didn't get closure on anyone but Glory? Moment were infuriating (looking at you, judge), and moments were heart-wrenching. But I'm not sure I enjoyed the process?

I am just still so in love with how much thought and effort and research and knowledge went into this book while still providing something so THOROUGHLY entertaining. I could reread this again and again. Also, if you've read it once already, you MUST listen to the audiobook. But if you've only listened to the audiobook, you MUST read the book. The explanatory footnotes are gold.

Ho. Lee. Cow.

This book came as a recommendation via a book club I still have not managed to attend (sorry Kyra, my b) and at first I thought to myself, Literally why? Shakespeare college? No thanks. This sounds absurdly niche. I'm not going to like this. Lol. Good joke, Sam. I am now obsessed with this book. It was beautiful, it was thrilling, and it was a book I will now start recommending to almost everyone.

The illustrated edition is BREATHTAKING. Words cannot describe how pleasant this was to read.

While I wish we had been able to explore a little bit more about Daphne and the way she's wired, I was SHOOK but the quick twists and turns. Maybe I should do a better job of reading synopses, but this entire book took me by surprise. It was a quick read, with warm fuzzys, shock factor, and just the right hint of social commentary. I was definitely a fan.

And just like that I have a new favorite Kate Quinn novel

Read #1: Well I finished in one day. If that tells you anything. I almost didn't pick this one up, as I was a bit skeptical of the premise. But let me tell you - all expectations were exceeded and turned on their head. Now, we know I'm generous with my reviews, but this book is a not-so-subtle reminder that no one is perfect and that happily-ever-after isn't just one standalone moment. Also, I don't know the last time a book made me want to call up my bestie and tell her how much I love her.

Read #2: It was still divine. It was still cheesy in places, and still makes me want to call up my bestie and tell her how much I love her. It also makes me want to buy a beach house and put blue and white painted tile inside.

Normally I'm not on board with Friends to Lovers, but I loved this one. Emily Henry did it again!
