"Here perished a species which lived to tell stories."

Recommended by my sister, this book has become a new favorite. It was a rollercoaster from start to finish, and so many stories were told between the covers that I nearly lost track of them all. But not quite, because Lyndsay Faye is remarkable.

Lisa Jewell has still failed to disappoint me. I'd almost say this has been my favorite twist yet.

Well that was a fitting Halloween read. Pardon me while I figure out my own reality for a bit.

I'm not quite sure what to say about this one, other than: life is messy, so don't expect perfection and neat little bows.

Remind me to never RSVP yes to a wedding on a remote island.

I like to tell myself I like thrillers (just not right before bed), and this was definitely on the approved list (this is a thriller, right? I tend to ignore genres - yes it's a character flaw). I loved the way the story was told - jumping back and forth across the timeline, slowly unfolding events and secrets and details.

Gosh I don't want to be friends with any of these people.
