Strikes a good balance, with a tricky premise, of character development and eroticism. In many ways, this is exactly what I look for when I'm searching for a good sexy, angsty read. I am bound to read this again. I already feel like reading again.

Note: I listened to this via Audible Escape. I really enjoyed the dual narrators. I enjoy that format, in general.

Enjoyed it. The world is interesting enough to continue. I think the couple changes every book in this series, which is good because I only liked - didn’t love - this couple.

An absolute joy and compulsively readable. I never wanted to put it down as I was reading. It broke my months long reader's block.

I've never read a book that was written the voice of an omniscient narrator. Kevin Kwan would jump into any character's head at any moment. It took some getting used to but I fell in love with that style by the end. Kept me on my toes and encouraged me to repeated consult the family tree at the front of the book.

Taking some time to let this one settle in before I move on to the sequel.

I just didn’t get into it. I don’t think I’m into the ‘bully romance’ sub-genre. I also found the narrative confusing in the beginning, but that mostly went away. I don’t know why I didn’t just DNF... probably because - outside of the bully romances - I’m a Penelope Douglas stan.
