It basically operates like a television special on dinosaurs but in audio form. It was engaging but it never felt like I was listening to a book.

Content wise, it was great for me. It gave me a great base of knowledge of the modern research developments in dinosaur palaeontology. I knew I was going to want more information, but again, I have NEVER studied the history of the earth (prior to Humans) and I definitely needed this introduction.

Really enjoyed it. I felt the connection between the two characters, which is the most important thing for me in a romance novel. This was also my biggest problem with The Kiss Quotient, which I wasn’t that crazy about and never finished.

I listened via audiobook. No complaints there. The narrator was quite good, so I totally recommend it.

Thoroughly enjoyed. Normally not a fan of ‘celebrity’ romances, but this one felt natural. With a romance, I want to fall in love with the couple and that definitely happened here.

There are some heavier themes in here about loss and illness. They are handled well. I definitely shed some tears.

This is my first book by this author, I think. I’m definitely going to try some of her others.

This was a real surprise. Mostly because I tried reading it back when it first blew up and I didn't like it. At least... I don't remember liking it. (That's the tricky thing with reading multiple books at once.)

However, I gave it a second chance after LOVING The Bride Test.

I am so glad I did.

I loved this book on the second try. My memory of why I didn't like it the first time was that I thought the connection between the two main characters formed too fast and was inorganic. I didn't feel any of that the second time around and because of that I flew through the rest of this book.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2 stars

I was slow to get into it, but I got there eventually. It was very different from what I expected, which is not necessarily a bad thing. A lot of the drama I really wanted to see wasn’t until the end but it’s a trilogy, so... she gotta rope you in for the next one.

I wonder how I would have felt reading this book if I didn’t already know there were more books to come. We spend a lot of time with Lara Jean and Peter and it felt weird to me because I kept thinking, ‘well, isn’t Josh the guy?’ I feel like Josh is barely in this book and while I like him from what I saw, this doesn’t feel like the beginning of their epic love story.

But, truthfully, a lot of that is what I am bringing in from how the movies have been promoted and I know that isn’t fair.

I am enjoying it for what it is. I have a strong feeling I am going to enjoy the movie more. I just think this kind of story will work better for me in a 2 hr film.

I’m still learning about my taste... I’m not sure YA contemporaries are for me.

EDIT: holy shit, I read this whole book thinking Noah Centieno played Josh when actually he’s Peter. This makes way more sense... I feel like an idiot.
