I can see why this book won awards, I wish I hadn't put off reading it for so long, very satisfying and engaging the whole way

I will definately read more from this author in the future.
I'm sad this series is finished becuase it's a good world and refreshingly different from all the popular fantasy at the moment.
The story continues on from the first book like it's one big book, doesn't really introduce anything new and answers all your questions and wraps everything up well.

Much like the first book I felt the story was slow at the start, all the action is at the end. Overall plot and content is not as riveting as some of Val's other books but certainly well written

Slow at first and the mfc is a bit annoying, mostly I was worried the book would be a waste of time since the author has been pretty mainstream popular and it's kind of a small book. However, it did get better as you get sucked into the story and the ending, if not entirely unpredictable, was at least refreshing.

The narrator is horible, super whiny little girl voice for the main character that is really off putting.
Moat of the story is just re-telling what happened in the last book and is more focussed on her boyfriend instead of the rebellion.
Super rushed ending.
