Phew! Finally, it's done.
Interesting stories though.

Tales from the Cliff
E.J. Flower, Writer's Workout, M.M. Schreier, Srivalli Rekha, Helen Bradley
I love this book. It has some amazing cliffhangers written beautifully by writers whom I interact with, in the writer's group.
Awesome stories, guys!
P.S: The book has my stories too. :)

The story was sweet and centered around the heroine and her child which I liked. The part where I'd have liked more info was brushed off (at the end).
But there were too many adverbs. I started counting them from the first para. Easy to get distracted from the actual story this way.

This is pretty much a sweet, clean story with bare minimum conflict. The brooch didn't have much to add, though I'm wondering if it'll be used in other stories of the series.
I picked the book because I was looking for a short read. That meant compromise on full character development which I was okay with.
But the hero was such a disappointment. There is hardly any change in him. I hated him in the first 30 pages but continued to read to see how the character would develop. Not a chance. There was none. The writing is decent but the storyline, sigh! The writer needs a better hero.

This is a sweet and warm tale of many people whose lives intersect in the inn during Christmas. There are no major emotional scenes, though various emotions have been handled well. The imagery is beautiful and vivid. The setting, food, and characters compliment each other. Enjoyed this book.
I picked up the book not knowing it was right in the middle of a series. Didn't matter though. Most of the things were summarized anyway. There wasn't much to get attached to in the book (except for loads of chocolate).
Giving it 3 stars (instead of 2.5) because I might have missed something in book 1.

I'm not sure what to make of this book. It was interesting and intriguing but from a distance. The deliberate vagueness worked to an extent, but I failed to feel anything deeper for the narrator or her life.
3.3 stars
A book about a book lover- it should be interesting, right? It was to a point. The middle felt dragged with a bit of rambling and off-tangent thoughts, but the ending was good. Overall, a nice book for a one-time read.
