I'm probably writing similar reviews for all the books in this series but, I don't seem to be able to help it. This could have been a lot better if the focus was also on other characteristic traits.
Lillian should have been able to tell George about her designing skills. It is something to be proud of.

Though this is the last book of the novella series, I ended up reading it first. Also, this is my first book by this author.
The story was tiny with no much depth. This is what I usually call the time-pass read. I didn't get to know much about the people in the book. Maybe I'll get a better idea of the characters when I read the other books in the series.

I love reading anthologies. The diversity of stories or ideas all the while staying connected to the main theme is always exciting to read. One thing all these stories have in common is family. I've read works of all the three authors before and they write some really cool stuff.

The Borrowed Bride: The story was well paced with right emotions though I felt the ending was a bit abrupt. It is Susan Wiggs after all. She writes emotions so well! I liked how Isabel gradually got to understand that she should be proud of who she is instead of trying to erase her roots.

A Bridge to Dreams: First thing I loved about this story is the name, Karyn. Her character had depth and I totally liked Nick. It's not every day that one finds such a lovable hero. The brothers were the usual protective type (she has 6 of them!) but I liked how her mother took charge in the end.

Sister of the Bride: This was funny and light. The nosy family members were rightly portrayed and Aunt Tilly was undoubtedly the highlight. Ariel did not really have much to say or do. The sister was, of course, a spoilt brat but the groom somehow matched her, like Katie's mother observed.
The name Howie sounded so nerdy, so doubt Katie did not want to ask for his help.

I'm going to be frank and say that my favorite characters of the book are the ghost and Victoria. I found these two to be the sensible characters compared to the rest. I think Victoria plays a major role in the book even if she was present only in the last part.
I enjoyed the architecture stuff because I love reading about buildings, especially the older ones.
The chemistry between Alix and Jared could definitely have been better, considering that the book is written by JD. She is good with emotions but this one wasn't up to her mark.
Nevertheless, I liked reading it because it has many subplots and a mystery, which I enjoy.

I thought this was a part of the Night series until I realized I was wrong. The story is a bit too short, I would have enjoyed a little more suspense. Also, there is no epilogue.
Cliff was a little too rude for my taste though I liked Maggie. I wouldn't definitely like a man who'd behave that way in real life.
Of course, Nora is a master at writing emotions and this is no exception. Only if the book was longer with more emotional scenes and mystery.
It'd have been nice to read the gradual transition of Cliff's lust to love, instead of hinting it in a few simple sentences.

This book was a little better than the others since the main characters at least talk and debate about issues they believe in.
