Wonderful writing! I loved this novel. It was a perfect summer read. Gus and January

Loved this 3rd novel from Chantal Cleeson...the characters, the emotion of the circumstances delivered in the writing.

Loved! Clap was poignant, tragic, yet uplifting. It is written uniquely which makes it quite magical.

Great story centred around family secrets and an Indie bookstore

Fine summer read about family, relationships, and secrets with some twists and turns that keep you guessing.

Rooney’s writing is exquisite and warrants all the stars. I can see from where this novel gets a reference by others as an Indie work. You never know the complex layers of someone’s story and Lillian Boxfish certainly has many. I would love to take a long walk with her.

I’ve been focusing on reading more physical books from my library since we haven’t been travelling and this wonderful YA novel was at the top of my list to read this summer. The author demonstrates experience with teenagers through her writing and doesn’t pull any punches.
